Perfect Fit For My Yamaha Strat Trike
I have always had great experiences with Kenwood and this does not disappoint. Many options on this unit so make sure to play around with it to get that perfect sound you are looking for. I would recommend this to anyone.

Awsome performance
Dropped this bad boy in my bug with a 2500 watt amp, a ten inch sub, and a 6.5 component set and it sounds amazing.

WEAK HEATSINK - Will not handle high volumes. Crunchy plastic. Good audio features though.
For this pricepoint, the headunit quality is as expected, crunchy buttons and unpleasant touch, but it sounds good and has a good number of controls and customization in colors and audio configurations (eq, crossover, tuning). The biggest problem i have with this headunit is that it frequently overheats itself at about vol 25 and the audio gets crunchy. Turn it down and it cools down and the audio comes back. The heatsink on the back of this unit is VERY SMALL, which seems to be the culprit. This might be better if it was backed by an external amplifier, but as-is, it's a little disappointing.I moved away from Alpine due to BT issues on 3 different headunits over 7 years, but at least I could listen to music at high levels without it overheating. But I guess companies aren't really selling a lot of these, so incentive to make a well-performing model isn't there.

Top of the line
I just replaced a 10 in screen in my Cyrsler Crossfire an not even close this Kenwood is above an beyond the best car stereo on the market. It's packed with features from EQ to the type of car your in an adjust accordly the set up is simple on 2 it sounds better than other devices on 10. High marks for this device.

High Quality Sound!
Bought this newer Kenwood to replace an old one that finally died after 10 years of great use. This new model is far better than the one it is replacing. The music sounds better coming out of this unit, it is clear and loud, a lot louder than the model it is replacing in my truck. If you have the cash to spare go for the eXcelon model than the standard Kenwood radio. You can hear the difference, it's like night and day. The wiring harness that comes with this is not pre-stripped so you will have to strip the ends of the wire yourself. My old Kenwood harness that was still attached in my truck did not fit this newer model. In the attached picture of the harness the left side is what came with the radio and on the right side is the harness adapter I bought. Had this radio installed in about 20 minutes. If you're thinking about buying this one, do it.
