I am really getting to like grease marker pencils -- bright color, they don't fade or smear. Get's the point across. I am fan of "Dixon" pencils, so I thought I. would try this brand -- very nice shade of red. Will re-order. Sharon H

Bought these to write on glass, metal, and plastic containers. No problem writing to these surfaces, plenty of marking on the surfaces, so it's easy to read, and wipes off with a little bit of elbow grease applied (that is, it doesn't simply brush off and lose the markings accidentally, you have to want to get it off). It can discolor plastic a little bit the longer it is left on.

I use these to label cardboard boxes with their destination numbers at work. They are much better than a marker because the cardboard dries out a marker but these pencils last for weeks.

When buying china markers I expect them to be a little less... chalky. I have been using these to write on glass bottles and metal bottle caps and after about a month of using them I find myself a little frustrated. in order to write on the bottles (clean and dry) I find myself pressing excessively hard and not getting a good mark until i scribble several times over the same spot. When I do finally make the mark, it is hard tor remove which is great for me but may not be for everyone. finally i find that the actual marker is very brittle. the nature of the peel off pencil is that once you peal back a layer you have this great long tip with which to write with but the core of this pencil is so fragile that it almost always immediately snaps off with the slightest touch. I am not extremely happy with this product, but it gets the job done.
