My first time making a bun, it works really well!

It worked perfectly for my girls for their recital hairdo. I do not have any experience with buns or hairstyle so I consider myself an amateur but I was surprised how beautiful it came out even without experience.

This hair bun shaper was a life saver!!! I was a first year dance mom and my daughter typically refuses to wear her hair in anything but a ponytail. Of course she was required to wear her hair in a bun for her recital. This shaper was very easy to use!! My daughter, 5, had very long thick hair and after viewing a few youtube videos, I was able to create this beautiful bun on top of her head!! The kit has multiple size bun shapers and all the tools you need to create and secure the bun!!! Honestly, some dancers did not use this type of product for their bun and the bun just didn't look as nice!!

These didn’t work out well for me. My hair is just a little bit longer than shoulder length, with some layers. I was hoping these would let me make a neater bun. They are too large for the amount of hair I have. I had to wrap it two times, and then it looked really odd. The little donuts seem well-made. Did not work for me either, but I think that’s just because I have layers in my hair. I have never been able to get one of the little donut forms to look right.

This is a good starter set if you haven't used a bun donut--I hadn't--because you get to try out four sizes and discover which size(s) you like best. Because my 9 y.o. daughter has thick, fairly long hair, we prefer the two middle-sized donuts. We gave away the biggest and the smallest ones. The biggest one is for making a huge bun. My daughter's hair would have covered it, but she didn't want a bun that big. The smallest one is for much thinner hair and would've left a huge amount of unruly hair to wrap around such a little bun. The smallest two sizes would be good for young girls with thin hair.The advantage of using a bun donut is that your bun is more stable than without it. My daughter's bun doesn't fall out anymore, even after a whole day.The donuts are a little stretchy, making it easy to put your ponytail through, but they hold their shape. They're perfect. They're dark brown, and the hair nets are the same color--a little darker than my daughter's hair color, but it looks fine.The hair nets are like others I've had: stretchy, big, and a little fragile; they'll tear if you're rough on them. They fit around any size bun and then you wrap the extra around the bun along the line of the hair elastic and then hold it--and the bun--in place with another elastic. They work the same as the other hair nets I've used.The black hairpins help hold the extra hair from the ponytail that you wrap around the bun. You put them through the wrapped-around hair into the bun. They hold the hair well. There are plenty of them--more than you'd need for one bun.

Super happy with this package. Sturdy sponge/knit, great accessories, the nets are a real plus to keep flyaways handles when wrapping the hair. 5 stars all around. Will re-purchase again when the stretch eventually gives, but after 2 months.. so far so great!

I’ve never used these before as I have quite fine hair and it’s not particularly long either and as such I figured it would be a waste of time, so the inclusion of four sizes of these was appreciated. Considering both the length and fineness of my hair, I’m pleasantly surprised - I can use the second to last smallest which is kinda perfect and the included ties work wonderfully without being too tight. Highly recommend, I will now look neat and polished for an upcoming christening I’m attending, rather than something akin to having been dragged backwards through a hedge 😂🤣

We bought the product primarily for the nets, but there are only 3, not 20 as the product description says.
