Could this be used to keep a rug inplace on a carpet

It would, but depends what type of carpet you have. To have a strong adhesion has to be on flat floor depends what type of carpet you have. I doubt would work on fluffy ones.

I need to stick my rug over a carpet. Will it leave any residues or marks after I remove it in the future?

It may hold the rug on the carpet but I don't think it would be safe. As to marking the carpet, I'm not sure but it's likely it would.

Will the black bits leave residue on stone floor if i need to relove them?

Sorry but as I said in my review, I only used on wooden pine varnished floorboards. I have no stone floors. The sticky is quite strong. For stubborn sticky residue I use HG sticker remover which is brilliant on anything like that. Very useful to have in cupboard. Look it up. Best I can do sorry

Will it damage original wooden floors?

Maybe if it’s varnished it may lift it if you pull it up after being down for a while. I have laminate flooring in my bedroom and use it to stop them sliding about, I just pull the rugs up and clean around the tape stuck to the floor, had for about six months and been worth it.

Literally couldn't be any easier

These are fantastic when paired with a gripper under it my runner is now safe. Each piece has on rug or on floor label so its very easy to attach. After installation you can lift rug to hoover and the velcro loop latch system stays on its respective side

Don't use on wooden flooring

I bought these in 4 months ago and already they are no longer holding the carpet in place. That's not the reason for the 1 star review though... I used these to keep a rug in place on wooden floorboards. When removing them (as they are no longer working) they have taken the varnish off the floorboards, leaving a really obvious mark where they once were. If you are planning to use with wooden floors do not buy!

Surprisingly effective

I must admit I wasn't expecting much with these, but they work surprisingly well. Bought for a student's uni room that had laminate flooring to stop a lightweight rug moving about and they worked well all year. Would buy again.
