The mimic box was packaged horribly, when holding the original packaging you could tell the box had lots of play and minimal packing for cushion. The dice box was stored in a thin layer of weak Styrofoam. It is painfully obvious who ever is responsible for shipping has never heard of physics dealing with forces or impact.The materials the dicebox is made from is a super thin layer of what seems like pvc or some other weak plastic. The dicebox is heavy but the lid of the box is light, and hollow.I have no idea how this product has so many 4 and 5 star reviews, but please don't buy it. I paid $50 for the large version of the dicebox and it was still very small, and materials are of low quality. Definitely not worth the price. Knowing the quality of materials and quality of the QC involved in shipping, I would probably pay $5-10 for this item max.

Nice chest! Arrived intact and is a nice solid storage box. No broken teeth or pieces. The overall paint job (mostly the inside) could be a little better and the insides of the mouth, especially the eyeball, could use a little wet look sheen to it, but that aside, it's a great looking dice (or whatever) chest. I love the lock and key too! Now if only I could get the little sucker to stop munching down on my hand every time I open it. Fool me once, shame on it. Fool me twice, shame on me I guess.

Was gonna give this to my partner since he loves D&D, but plans have changed. When I opened the package, it was wrapped in styrofoam, which was alright. But when I opened the chest itself, a couple teeth were broken off. Don’t know if that’s a reflection on the product’s sturdiness or the mishandling of the package, but there should at least be something INSIDE the box to make sure the teeth don’t snap off. The teeth were broken off cleanly, so I can still glue them back on but… Yeah, that kinda sucks.

The "chest" is a great size. Perfect for display. It had a nice weight to it and is well designed (monster-wise). It held four sets of die easily, BUT the extraordinary detailing inside made it hard to get a couple of the die out (hungry is hungry, I guess!) I won't be using it for dice storage, but it is a wonderful piece for my collection.

The chest is nice with a working lock, but the quality of this mimic is not so stealthy. The inside looked like it had candy corn teeth and the mouth looked a bit drab. The design however is nice. I may end up repainting the inside to look a bit more authentic.
