SmallRig Noise-Reduction Windsheild for Nikon ZR/Z 30, Made of Nylon and Fiber, with Cold Shoe Adapter and Rubber Cushions- 3859

I wasn’t sure this would add much value, but for the price, I figured I’d give it a try—and I’m glad I did. This thing works extremely well. We used it on our Nikon Z30, and it fit the hot shoe just fine—maybe a tad snug, but nothing problematic. We tested it while filming our son’s first time flying a kite. As you can imagine, it was a windy day. Without this wind shield, the mic picked up all the typical wind noise—distracting and annoying. Once we added the wind shield, though, the wind was almost completely canceled out. Yes, there’s still a bit of subtle wind noise, but it’s dramatically quieter. Voices remained very clear and easy to hear. I didn’t even turn on the camera’s built-in wind reduction, but I imagine using both would make wind noise practically disappear. Great product—highly recommended for anyone who films outdoors!

For my Nikon ZR, when I am not shooting for pro gigs, this product is perfect. It cuts the wind noises from my family footage and it's super small. I can put another shotgun mic on top of this if I want. It's simple and works great.

It fits the zr and it tremendously help cutting wind noise! The Zr looks cute with it, like a point and shoot!

This is great the only complaint is that its a tight fit with the SmallRig cage

I have 2 Rode directional microphones, both with wind reducers on them. I also have this SmallRig wind reducers apparatus on my Nikon Z30. Seems to work nearly as well as the Rodes with wind reducers. Hard to beat for the price, but it does take up space in the hot shoe, which I some times mount a light meter on and it's difficult to use this device and mount the light meter too. Seems kinda flimsy when I stack on the light meter. It does accommodate a cold shoe device but could be beefier. Especially on windy days. Normally I use the Rode mics, but some times I want omni-directional sound with my videos, and as little wind noise as possible. This device works very well.

I love it. It’s very smart and very helpful. It just covers with fur the two already perfect microphones of the ZR

Effective against average wind. Not much better can be done for the ikon ZR internal microphones

I don't do much video, but it's a very cheap, small and effective item, definitely a useful accessory, even for folks like me who baaaaarely record. Plus I just love the look lol.

This is basically the second set of these that I've gotten. The first set, one of wind muffs somehow slipped off during shooting. I use this was the Nikon Z30. In saying that, these work really well.

For what it is for it does the job. Probably if a guy got the full plug in mic and wind reduction cap be even better. I did notice a reduction in wind noise with this.
