So light and easy to manage
I started using this sort of hose last year and was so impressed, I bought two more this season. Although these aren't the same brand they are the same type and I like them even better than the other brand with the green collar. The hoses are very light weight and easy to handle compared to regular type that seems to have a mind of its own. I've attached two 50' hoses together to get the 100' I need so if something happens to one hose, I'm not out the whole thing. So far, so good. No problems. I water my veggie garden and can pull the length of hose back to the spigot easily when I'm done and leave it in a heap for next use without having to carefully recoil it. It takes up little space and because it's brightly obvious, I don't worry about mistakenly running over it with the lawnmower--in spite of its durability, I can't imagine it would survive that. The only negative is that because of the smaller circumference, it delivers slightly less water pressure than the one I used to use, so I'm trying different nozzles to get the best effect. The hose I bought last year even came with its own nozzle to eliminate that issue, but I like one with different spray patterns so replaced it and just deal with the fact that the 'jet' setting isn't as strong. Since that hose did fine over the winter and is leak free for the second year, I was pleased to try more for this back garden where the bright shiny look isn't a problem and it's easy to handle. The muted green hose I'd been using got moved to the front spigot where it is invisible against the hedges and a better choice for the 'curb' view.

Where has this hose been all my life?
First of all, I rarely ever write reviews yet I refer to them before a purchase. So far ( I’ve had it a little over a month) this is the best hose I have ever owned!! It’s so easy to pull around, it doesn’t kink, it doesn’t get hot. It gets used daily on our covered deck and paver patio to water container plants and flower beds all around. I’ve left it lay in the 90 degree sun all day and yes, the water was hot for a minute but the hose itself was not. It’s so easy to roll up, especially since all I have is a wall holder. I only wish it was available in a longer length as I need to purchase another 50’, hopefully they will connect easily without any leaking.I will update as to how that works out and if I’m still satisfied in another month or so.

best hose ever
This hose is super lightweight, kink free, and durable. The hose fits on my hose reel with room to spare; very easy to roll up, and doesn't twist and become a nightmare like rubber hoses. I have purchased 2 over time with this 50' hose on a reel in my front yard, and my other is a 25' hose (no reel) in my backyard - exposed to sun, landscapers, etc. and has not shown any signs of deterioration or slicing from trimming equipment...and it does not get hot to the touch from the FL sun. I even use these for my 2000 psi pressure washer without any issues. Highly recommend.

Cheap aluminum ends that corrode/seize up!
Lots of reviewers noted this hose's limited flow, and my test against a typical 5/8" rubber hose showed it produces less than half flow. Why can't the manufacturer simply modify the ends to increase the hole size? That's the bottleneck that renders this hose inadequate for most garden watering tasks. But potentially worse is the manufacturer's decision to use aluminum ends...on a stainless steel hose?! The problem is that aluminum will corrode with exposure to chlorinated water, creating an oxide residue that will chemically weld the hose onto the faucet or any nozzle you leave on it. This does not happen with real brass. I have brass shutoffs (Dramm) that are over a decade old and still use on a daily basis.Update: Take a look at the photo for what one end looks like after only 18 months. You can see corrosion where the aluminum seized up in contact with my brass shut-off valve, and even broken metal along the edge. I had to use a big wrench and a shop vice to get them apart! I'm sure the aluminum is now even more brittle than when it was new, something that doesn't happen to brass. I can no longer trust it not to break at the ends, so it's just hanging on a peg, going to waste. Not very sustainable, to say the least.I took a chance because I needed a hose that could withstand constant pressure out in the sun during the growing season, and stainless steel seemed to fit the bill. While that aspect seems to be fine, what a disappointment to find its ends are its real Achilles heel, and that I couldn't verify it until long past the refund window. Why can't the manufacturer make this right and just charge a few more bucks? They'd have a lot more happy customers, and maybe some return customers, which of course, I'm not.Bottom line: Forever Steel Hose? Not by a long shot!

They're Not "Forever" Hoses
The standard water hose inside the metal jacket will wear out and start leaking within 3-4 years and the longer joints (100 ft) are susceptible to twisting and pinching inside the metal jacket. But they are more durable than unjacketed hoses. I've used them the past several years and have come to know how to work with their idiosyncrasies.

No kinking, light, easy
We had a hose from Orchard Supply that we loved. Didn't kink, was relatively light and easy to roll up. I've been attempting to find a hose like this for years now but even the no kink, expensive didn't measure up. This one does. We are really happy with it. I'd order it in 100 foot if they had it. It coils up so easily and is also very light and as they claim, no kinks. Very happy with this hose!

Hoses work well and don't kink
I bought two of them and they are holding together and function as they described. I use them twice a day to water my garden and they don't kink like my old rubber hoses. One month update - I have been using both of the hoses on a daily basis and they are still holding up and are not leaking. I love the way the never kink and coil up so easily! I’ve also noticed that they are not hot to the touch when you pick them up. Here in Florida that is a bonus. These are well worth the money!
