Poor value for your money
The book had some decent tips, but nothing you could not easily find with google. It was very short, the majority of the pages are pictures. This book is not worth the amount that it cost.

Good Info but Very Deceiving Description
Although the information in the book is actually quite excellent, it only goes through Chapter 13 of 57. No where am I able to find the additional chapters. I presume they are in the Photosbop Restoration and Photoshop Colorizing books. However, I assumed when the book description said 0-58 chapters that they would all be in this book. Not only disappointed but in a bind because my students will have to buy additional books for just a basics course in Photoshop. Not happy.

A very useful book with a very accurate title
Photoshop depends heavily upon shortcuts, and to beginners like me using the tools visible on the screen or available from the menus, many of the clever functions seem to be unavailable or hidden or mysterious. This book sweeps much of that mystery away. I struggle often to get the selection tools to behave. This book has given me some ideas on ways to beat Photoshop into submission. It was very useful to discover that my inability to persuade some functions to work with layers was because Photoshop doesn't do that yet, not because I'm stupid. The screen shots were particularly useful. The text could benefit from one more edit to remove some grammatical errors and inconsistencies.

Will get you started, but....
This book will get you started and it is nice to have a book next to you as you practice but some of the procedures seems outdated.Better go for adobe online free tutorial which take you from the very start and far beyond the level of this book.
