I got this sauce to try after being placed on a diet that does not allow me to eat tomatoes. I could not imagine never being able to have spaghetti again with the meat sauce and/or meatballs that I like so I was trying to find another option. When I read the ingredients and saw that it is made with carrots, beets, molasses and other items, I couldn't see how it would taste the same, but I decided to try it. Boy, was I surprised! It was sweeter than regular tomato sauce but after I added garlic, onion powder, Italian seasonings, and additional oregano. I didn't give it a 5 because after it heats, it is thicker than regular tomato sauce so it coats the meat well but you don't get the extra sauce for the noodles. My immediate fix for that was to make my spaghetti garlic noodles by adding a garlic butter sauce. That did the trick and it tasted delicious. The next day, I used some of the sauce to make healthy nachos by adding low fat shredded American cheese (not allowed to have cheddar), onions, iceberg lettuce and taco sauce. That was delicious too. I used the remainder of the sauce for an egg white omelet the following morning by adding the same cheese, onions, and bell pepper. Yum! While it is not as affordable as regular sauce, I will definitely buy it again because it allows me to have the food that I enjoy. I can't wait to try it on other dishes.

My son cannot have tomatoes.This is the only way he can have tomato sauce with note tomatoes. Hey, set it taste good. The texture is just like regular tomato sauce. But for him, the health benefits outweigh the expensive cost.

Way better then their carrot based sauce. The carrot based was way too sweet. This is tangy and the texture wasn't runny. Could use some garlic and herbs but I understand having a more universal base for people to flavor on their own.

Avery good pasta sauce for those of us who have to avoid nightshade veggies (which include tomatoes). It smells like tomato sauce. I do wish it was a bit thicker but it’s not bad.

I wanted to like this badly but it disappointed me completely. The strong vinegar taste covers the taste of all the other ingredients. Not even close to what I was hoping. It's so hard to eat aip compliant, and I get that things may not be the best tasting but this and the carrot sauce were terrible. Waste of money

Tomato allergy/Hidradenitis - it's great flavor for what it is. However, it is wildly way too expensive for regular consumption, which is incredibly disappointing. And Amazon frequently has ZERO CLUE if it's actually in stock or what is going on, so sometimes you order and Amazon claims it's on it's way, but is lying. So... overall, really just frustrating more than anything.

I have MCAS and Im allergic to tomatoes. I tried this sauce for the first time and I admit I was skeptical, but its delicious. It tastes just like regular pasta sauce or pizza sauce. I used it to make a Margherita style pizza and couldn't tell the difference. It is quite pricey but if you have food allergies this might be worth trying out. I just froze what I didn't use in an ice cube tray for small pasta meals or pizza later on.
