I gave this box to my four year old granddaughter , for Christmas, and she loved it!

The quality of this wooden jewelry box was exceptional. The engraved design is unique. I gifted it to my future sister in law for her bridal shower. The only negative thing was the box it came in was not attractive for gifting. It also come in a clear plastic cover so I just took it out of the cardboard box when I gifted it.

We recently had to put our sweet old puppy dog down. The vet that came to our house took paw prints and locks of fur. This was exactly the right size to safely house both as a memory box for my son. She was our first dog so I wanted to make it special for my son. This was precisely what I was looking for.

Carving is beautiful and materials are so solid it may as well have been chiseled out of granite, but the craftsmanship is otherwise lacking. The cloth lining is thin and came peeling away top, the insert has almost 1/8" of play around the edges, and the latch, while just as solid as rest of the piece, is offset beyond just securing the box closed.You will get a beautiful carving into high quality material with heavy duty hardware. You will not, however, get high precision. It's unfortunately easy to see how much of the box could have been done much better.
