Mine didn’t even turn on when it arrive

I’ve tried another mail trimmer like this and this one is ever so slightly better but still doesn’t do a very good job. It’s basically just a spinning grinder that trims the mail by cutting little chunks out over and over. If you use it upside down it definitely leaves an edge on the nails (first photo). If you use it the other direction, it doesn’t do the worst job but still definitely leaves the edges a bit ragged (second photo). They’re not so bad that they would like cut you or catch on things but bad enough that most people would want to file them afterwards.I could see this being useful for kids who are afraid of clippers or maybe elderly with arthritis that can’t handle regular clippers. It would definitely be better than having long or broken nails and again I don’t think a kiddo would scratch themselves or anything even if you’re not able to file after.A couple things I do like is that’s it’s pretty nice looking and ergonomic to hold. It also came with batteries and has a little reservoir that catches the nail grinding a so they don’t go all over. It is also able to trim down length a bit quicker than I expected although not near as quick as regular clippers.Overall I probably won’t continue to use these unless one of my kids suddenly develops a fear of clippers but I do think it would be a good option for people who aren’t able to use standard clippers or are afraid of clipping skin like with babies.
