Bought for my David Sedaris fan son for Christmas because these are the candles Mr Sedaris recommends. Great scent!

and the fragrance is wonderful.
I will admit that these candles are relatively expensive. However, they burn for a long time, and the fragrance is wonderful.

the candle surface doesn't melt completely.
The delivery and packaging was perfect. But about the product I have to say it's a one star. 115 dollar for a sandalwood candle that is almost fragrance free. And the brochure says let the entire surface melt for best result. But you could see from the photo that it's not melting equally.

Scent not as strong as expected, candle burns unevenly
Not sure if this is a fake (the box is genuine, but the product was a mess with wax smeared all over), but the scent is nowhere near as strong as an original that I had purchased. Very poor hot throw. Additionally, as stated, product came in a messy state and that candle tumbled out of its vessel upon opening. Further, candle burns unevenly, even after hours.Original that I purchased of this candle was not this poor in quality—not sure if they've lowered the production quality or what, but I'm definitely disappointed for its cost. Would return, but it's a candle and has already been burnt.Will stick with Diptyque in the future.
