Had leaking issues, they fixed it!
Update: The one I had did leak like crazy (see original review below). I emailed the company with no response but my email must have gotten lost in cyberspace because after passing this review they contacted me about a refund and maybe trying a new one as you get a lemon sometimes. So I did. I must have received the defective first generation reservoir, because the one that came looks like the picture. Hose attachment is simple and I like that the nozzle is bent instead of straight so it fits into my old backpack's nozzle holder. This is a company that wants its customers happy, so if you want a quality reservoir, get this one. The one pictured works exactly as said. And I love that you can store it in the fridge and cool it down. Original review: I had a hard time deciding between 2 and 3 stars. For the most part it is a fantastic reservoir. The opening is easy to use, I like the feel of the material, and the nozzle option is very nice (being able to turn it on and off. I also like that you can unhook the hose and store the reservoir in the fridge without leaks. However... It can leak like CRAZY! The part where the hose connects doesn't fit as tightly as you'd hope, which means if the hose gets pulled to the side (easy to do) it lifts out of the connection just enough to let all the water slowly seep into your bag. I tried hooking it up multiple different ways, I even sent an email to customer service (no response), but it only works if I keep my eye on it. So for the huge leaking problem, it only gets 3 stars. If that weren't an issue, I'd say it's a fine reservoir.

Taking this on vacation
I actually had another one of these from a different company that I had to send back for bad design issues, so I really was now looking at this one to see if they are all made poorly, etc. We are going to Disney soon and it was suggested to me that I get one of these to be able to drink more water and save money, since it can be quite an expense to buy sodas and waters there. This is a nice bag, it holds 1.5 L which is perfect for me. I will be putting this in a backpack with other items so a bigger one just takes up more room. This came with instructions that first tell you to wash the interior of the bag really well. This is important because of the chemical process, these are handled by others, and then you get it, so washing it is really important. The screw on cap goes on and off really easily, and the bag opening is fairly wide for a hand, washcloth, or bottle brush. I had a little trouble getting the tube onto the bag, its supposed to be lined up, pressed on, and then you turn several times to close it. I was having problems getting it to fit in, but once I got it, it was fine. The bag has these pictures on the front that remind you not to use juices, soda, or other liquids besides water, that's because they break down the material. The second thing is a reminder to use cold water......not sure who would want to try cocoa or hot tea in this...? I am not sure why the tube has tape on both ends, I will see after some use whether or not that comes off or becomes an issue. It just looks like electrical tape. The drink spout is nice because it has a on and off feature, and you have to press on the end to even get water out, so no spills. I think this will be nice on my trip, or for hikes. It dries out pretty well too, I just hung it on a hook and it is 98% air dried.

Quality and no leaks like other brands!
I ordered this hydration pack for short day hikes for the family knowing no one can backwash and I could put it in different backpacks easily. I tested it out at home before we are packing it in a backpack just in case it leaks as some other brands have in the past. I filled it very full with ice cubes (huge plus that I can fit my giant cubes in the hole so they last longer) and water and went about my day while drinking out of this instead of my typical water bottle. At first the bite piece seemed a little hard to get to open enough for adequate drinking but it kind of broke in and I got the hand of this one after a few more tries. The open and shut valve is easy to operate and convenient too as to prevent any leaking that could occur (I didn't have leaking myself). I was very very happy to have the large opening and fill spot though because I was able to get in there and clean the seam areas where being able to do that on other brands is a huge pain in the rear. There are two holes located at the top for attaching into a back pack so this will be a cinch to throw in on our hikes. The other great benefit is that its BPA free which is very important to our household. Overall I am very happy with this purchase!

Great bladder at a fantastic price
I've gone through at least 3 different bladders in the past year, and so far this one's the best. The opening is even wider than it appears in the picture, and makes the bladder very easy to clean in order to avoid fungus (although honestly, this was never a problem with any silicon bladders I had..). In any case it also makes it very easy to fill. The drinking spout is also great. It's the standard "bite" variety, but there are 2 things I really like about it: 1. The safety valve that prevents leaking is very easy to use with one hand 2. The entire drinking tube is insulated, which is awesome. I ride a lot in hot weather and with non-insulated tubes, your first few sips after not drinking for 10-20 minutes can get pretty warm, which is a bummer. With the insulation on the tube, this is much less of a problem. There's also a quick-release for releasing the tube from the bladder, but honestly I haven't found a use for that yet.

Excellent Value.
I bought two of these to be used on a 3 day hike on the AT. The reviews were good and our hopes were high. Let me start by saying these were excellent! During our hike, these traveled 25 miles in two different packs and didn't leak or otherwise give us much trouble. We refilled them multiple times thanks to our Sawyer minis. We plan to use them again soon, on a longer hike, so I will update if there are any issues. Quality: The bags are soft and flexible, but appear to be pretty tough. Still, you'll have to be careful with sticks and rocks while filling (out of the pack) and with sharp items in the pack. Your pack should have a dedicated hydration bladder pocket inside for this purpose. Value: I checked multiple sources for multiple bags before settling on these. The reviews and features were good and the price was right. I'm very glad I chose these. Function: The opening is large and the bag is well balanced if you hold the plastic ring around the filler neck. You can easily get 2L in and avoid air pockets that will lead to "sloshing" while walking. The insulation on the hose was a nice feature. It doesn't do much to keep the water cold, but it does seem to keep the tube inside from kinking as easily. The bite valve works great too, once modded (see notes below). Notes: The heatshrink tubing on our hoses was not as tight as I would have hoped. Once we got home, I applied a little more heat (very carefully) to shrink it tight. The problem was the neoprene cover would slip off the ends if you weren't careful. No big deal and easily fixed with a lighter in 2 seconds. The bag (any bag for that matter) should be cleaned before use. I washed its insides with soapy water and a soft bristled brush then rinsed thoroughly. After that, I let soak with some water and lime juice. This seemed to help with the "plastic" taste that you can get from a bladder. The lid needs to be fairly snug to ensure it doesn't leak once in your pack. Make sure it's not cross threaded while closing it. *The bite valve has a very small opening from the factory. As many others have pointed out, the fix is simply to use a VERY sharp instrument like a razor blade to widen the opening. You can gently slice the opening a little wider on each side. Be VERY CAREFUL not to go all the way to the edge or (worse) past it. Keep the tool straight and follow the original cut. The smoothness and straightness of the edge will ensure the sides match up tightly and don't leak. While walking, we tended to leave the shutoff open. When putting down our packs for the night, we'd close the shutoff to ensure it didn't leak from pressure on the bag, etc.

I bought two, one for each of my boys. They were great.
The holes in the top allow them to easily be attached to any hydration backpack. The round opening is nice and wide, making it easy to fill and relatively easy to drain when you’re done using it. I already have a bladder cleaning kit, and I was able to get the insert into this ladder to hold it open, so that I could drive properly. We took these on a 2 mile hike, each boy, carrying their own water, no problems with leakage. You can easily get the water out of the hose. The only downside is that because the mouthpiece is fully attached to the hose, without a clip between the hose and the mouthpiece, mouthpiece cannot be removed to make the hose easier to clean.

Flowrate is something to be desired.
You really need to bite hard to get the water flow going, and the flowrate is something to be desired. I don't really have issues with plastic taste but that was really never a concern as I wanted performance and effectiveness more-so than taste. The valve at the end of the hose is kinda pointless because its doing the job the bite valve is. I guess it serves as a good backup. The insulation and heat shrink tubing is very loose and ends exposing the tube immediate after using it. I would have liked to see a weaker bite valve (I'm not an alligator) and a clip on the end to hold it in place on my bag, but the price was pretty good. =D!!!
This is my 5th bladder and it's definitely my favorite! It's simple, yet effective. Slim look and fit when put in a pack (some other bladders are so unnecessarily bulky). Hole to pour water in/out is big enough for my hand to fit through which makes it easier to clean. Hose is insulated which keeps water cooler (my first insulated hose and i definitely notice the difference!). I think my favorite part is there is no taste or smell when drinking. I've had bladders where no matter what I did (vinegar, baking soda, etc.), there was always a trace of plastic. I also really like the on/off mechanism; it's simple and works very well. Best thing is the price! At least half (if not, more) of what others go for. UPDATE: I've had this hydration bladder for a little over 2 months now and have gotten a lot of use out of it. The only thing that's happened to it is the black tape that keeps the insulation attached to the tube no longer sticks, so it kind of slides up and down. I'm positive that's from running the tube through my pack a bunch of times. It's no big deal! Does not effect the use of the bladder. The insulation is pretty thick so it doesn't run halfway down the tube or anything. I probably see maybe an inch of the tube showing when the tape slides down. Still love this bladder :)

Buen producto, resistente.

A great low cost hydration bladder. The bite to drink mouthpiece worked well and I liked the valve to stop the flow completely and also the way the tube could be easily disconnected from the bladder. The large bladder opening makes cleaning and filling super easy.
