Contigo Purity Glass Water Bottle, 20oz, Very Berry with Silicone Tether

I have to say, I love this bottle. I'm a bit of glass-water-bottle addict and this is by far, my favorite. It's thick like those Pyrex glass baking dish. The silicon sleeve has a thicker bottom so it gives a solid protection. I misjudged the distance and slammed my bottle on my granite countertop very hard but because of the thick silicon base, my bottle survived. My absolute favorite feature is the stylish chain. It has a thick stainless steel ring on the neck of the bottle which hold the mesh chain held by a solid hook (see photo) Most water bottle has a nylon strap attached to the bottle cap so I'm always afraid that the bottle may slip out of my hand but no such concern with this one because the chain is on the bottle not the cap. I don't know, that just makes sense to me. I've literally swung the bottle holding just the chain strap and it held secure. I like that I can put it around my wrist (see photo) and drink the water and I don't have to worry about dropping the bottle. The other bottles with the strap on the cap, I can accidentally drop the bottle and all I'll have left is the cap with a strap because the glass bottle would have shattered. The con is, it is heavier than other bottles because of the thicker sleeve and the glass but I think the difference in weight is negligible. I haven't weighed it but when I do, I'll update. We love these glass water bottles. They are professional looking and attractive. I feel good bringing my bottle to work with me and knowing that I don't look like a little kid or someone trying to promote a brand with the brand name plastered all over it. I also love how the top is not plastic. Some glass water bottles come with plastic tops. This top is metal with a silicone ring to avoid water leaks. Thus far, in over six month, I have never had it leak! When I got this bottle, the rest of my family liked it so much that we bought more for them. I do dislike the attached writs loop. It is clunky and just gets in the way. When the bottle is full, it is very impractical too since the bottle weighs too much to hold via the wrist. Luckily, it the strap clips on and off, so we all just took it off. The other thing is that if you are not careful you can hurt your hand on the metal projection the wrist clasp clips on to. I did it once, learned from my mistake, and just hold my hand a little higher while twisting. I now don't even think about it and I never hurt myself again. I dropped the glass bottle from about two and half feet from concrete and it survived just fine. I can't say what higher falls would do and I am not inclined to test it out. To sum up, I highly recommend this bottle.

This is without a doubt the sexiest, coolest, and best water bottle I've ever purchased.First seen carried by a friend, I couldn't get the elegant design out of my head, and after about a week of deliberation I decided to purchase one for myself.Sustainability oozes out of every smooth glass inch of this product, and the water you drink from it tastes fresh, untainted by that gross metallic or plastic taste often left behind by water bottles made of those materials. This water bottle is beautiful, its greyed jade color bringing a smile to my face every time I look at it. The windows in the silicone that show the glass are especially useful when gauging water levels, letting you know when it's time to rehydrate. The sleek metal on the bottle is elegant and efficient, the mesh wrist handle comfortable and sturdy.I am in love with this water bottle, and I highly suggest anybody searching for a healthy alternative to traditional plastic water bottles stop right here and buy this one. This bottle is affordable, efficient, and just all around fantastic

New favorite bottle. I have been looking for months for a way to get away from plastic. Even with high grade plastic, it just doesn't taste or feel the same when it goes up to your mouth.This is defiantly large and heavy and I would NOT recommend it for the gym or for sports!! I use it at my office and it is the perfect size and weight for that. Yes the bottom could flair out a bit so it is less likely to fall, but I haven't tipped it yet and it is stable enough for me (even when bumping into the desk from time to time it doesn't tip).The only reason I don't give it a 5 star is because of the plastic O ring in the top of the silver lid. I know it is there to keep it from leaking, but I hate the way plastic smells after a while. I have to soak it in soap from time to time. Actually I have just stopped using it all together since I am not carrying it around the place.I highly recommend this for home or office. I also can't wait until someone comes up with a metal/glass solution like Blender Bottle that just fits. . . without some rubber O ring.

This product is wonderful. I've dropped this bottle a few times and it seems very sturdy, it's consistently leak-proof, the seal on the cap does not hit at an angle sometimes (as many poor caps tend to do, leading to spillage). I love the fine metal mesh strap, though it has gotten bent out of shape where it wraps around my wrist. My colleagues have commented that my water bottle looks awesome because of the chain mail, which amuses me. I love the minimalism of the design and the taste of drinking water out of glass is unbeatable. My previous water bottles have included Thermos Nissan Intak (I kept having to replace them after they broke from being dropped, but they were otherwise pretty great) and a very similar Takeya water bottle. This product, in my opinion, is superior to the Takeya model because of the strap (the Takeya has a weirdly stiff plastic piece at an annoying 45 degree angle) and the size. At first I was concerned that the cap of the Takeya bottle would be better because it has a weird grippy polygonal lid, but this is just as easy to open.
