Good quality steel. Item is exactly as described. 6 plates are good for a family of 4 to 6 and saves time since we get more idlis cooked in one go. You will have to ensure that the container height at least 7 inches without lid and with lid innner height should be 7.5 inches.

Unable to unsecrew the top, let alone use it
Ordered this item twice. First time order, unable to unscrew the top. Even the Amazon delivery person tried when he came to collect return. He said it is damaged. Ordered again, same problem. I give up. The idli stand has to be slightly longer. But no, penny wise pound foolish. Unable to use the product because of this reason. Wasted more money buying idli batter. Now I have to throw it away.

Idli plates quality was good but the size of the idli plates were small

Excellent product
These stainless steel idli pans are of very high quality steel and right size to fit inside most steamers. Most important is they have provided micro pores at the bottom of every idli mould so that steam could pass through the batter while cooking. This small innovation makes the idlis made in these pans specially spongy and well textured.
