These gloves are the best on the market unless you go with their chain mail.
I've had these gloves for five months and use them daily for woodcarving. I constantly use razor-sharp knives and chisels with tremendous force to shape hardwoods. I've experienced plenty of blade slips, and were it not for these protective gloves, I would have lost a finger or nerve damage. A couple of days ago, I was using a freshly sharpened knife to make a deep cut into the handle of a wooden spoon when the wood gave way, and the knife plunged forward and into my left pointer finger. The impact was strong enough to cause me to drop the wooden spoon and wince in pain. The sharp pain I felt led me to believe I had severed my finger.I glanced at the glove and noticed no tears, not even discoloration of the glove cloth from what I figured would be my pooling blood. So I gathered my first-aid kit at the ready and slowly peeled the glove off my injured hand. The only injuries I suffered were slight bruising from the impact and an ever-so-slight cut not even worthy of mentioning. In other words, these gloves performed far better than my expectations. It's not often a product does what it says it will. Oh yes, before I forget, they are extremely comfortable. The palm of my hand measures about 4.5" at its greatest width, so I ordered the 2x. The gloves fit, well, like a glove. Also, I am able to operate my tablet and cellphone touch screens without having to remove the gloves. Lastly, will I recommend these gloves to others? I already have. Will I order more for myself? Of course.

Using for whittling small items
I bought these for the grip of small wood while whittling. They are plenty cut resistant and the grip is awesome with the plastic coating over the palm. The fit is perfect except that the fingers are a little long. I did measure my hand and used their chart to size them. Perhaps the sizing is only for men. If they were just .25” shorter they’d be perfect for me. After I use them a little longer, I may decide to cut the finger tips off honestly. Any cut you get from whittling are usually along the finger, thumb or hand, not fingertips. Of course they are possible anyplace. They are indeed thin and lightweight which makes them much easier to feel what you are holding on to. Any advantage in holding a sharp knife and cutting towards your fingers and hand, is a plus. I would give them a thumbs up and recommend them. The reduction of a star is because of the sizing chart.Followup 11 months later. These have lasted well and just last week noticed a hole in the tip of the thumb. It has spread and my thumb will go through it entirely now. They have kept me from some pretty serious injuries and I’m about to order another pair. For the price, you can’t ask for more.

Love 'em
So many times in my life I had wished and hoped for cut proof gloves just like these. I don't think they even existed way back when I was loading sheet metal into trucks for a living in about '82. I made it through that with just one no-biggie cut - but I was lucky, we were well trained back in those days.Fast forward to today as I was ordering fasteners for a corrugated roofing job on my tractor garage, the thought hit me again... I wonder if something more comfortable than chainmail and cheaper than a Cadillac exists for THIS job? Ta-Da! It DOES exist, and this is it!These fit VERY comfortably, They provide really good grip, They're not hot (I'm in Florida), They kinda even work a little on my cellphone, and they cost next to nuthin. I've paid more for driving gloves which protect my hands from nothing. Are they going to save my fingers from getting sliced off? I hope so. I can only trust the manufacturers rating on that because I realy don't want to test them. I will say that, although I'm not done with the job yet, I did wear them for 1 or 2 days of work so far and they aren't even scuffed yet. I ended one day with them full of dirt and sand and covered in mud and maybe some rust - I just hosed them off and threw them on the wood pile to dry and they look brand new - not crusty or stiff or degraded at all, just like new. I am definitely very hard on my work items like gloves, and I'm very particular about quality and performance, with that said, I really do like these gloves. Seriously, they are so comfortable that I WANT to put them on. I don't need to take them off to climb the ladder, to hammer, to control a screw gun or drill. I think I only took them off tp dial out on my phone and to go... well... you know.I don't write a ton of reviews, but I figured these are worth a little praise.Like many things on Amazon, I know there's a bunch of very similar gloves available, some are probably even identical, some cost more, some less, all I know about all that is these are very nice gloves. Period.

Quality and fit and finish as advertised!
Just received a pair of these Gloves, size XL and they are too small. If you need an XL, order the XXL size, which I just did ...

Perfect for stained glass
These gloves are just what I needed for working on glass. I used them for cutting the glass as well as grinding. And they held up and my nails held up as well. No tears and they didn't get soaked. I would highly recommend for glasswork. They do fit a bit tight, but they stretched in our perfect fit now.
