Greenworks 40V Battery Charger (Genuine Greenworks Charger)

When you buy this battery you need this charger the charger they give you is too small. It takes four hours to charge the battery so I bought this charger bigger one now it takes an hour and a half.

Nice and ease to use

I use this battery as a backup in a Greenworks blower. I really like it since it is lighter than the OEM battery at a great price. After 2 months, the battery started dying after 5 minutes of use. Additionally, during charge my charger was blinking red, which indicates a bad cell. It was beyond the 30 day return window for Amazon. I was prepared to write a bad review. However, I reached out to the company and got a fast response. They asked a few questions about my use and then shipped me a new battery. Here are some things that I have learned. A blower has variable draw on the battery -- stop/start/stop/start as I am blowing areas and then walking to other areas. This shortens the life of the charge. I am sure there is a lithium battery expert that can explain why. I get longer life from the battery if I set the trigger to always on -- even while walking to another area. I found this to be true of the OEM battery as well. Bottom line: the new battery is working well and makes a great backup.

Good product

Fresh out of box and the light doesn’t turn on and it’s defective. Has power. Outlet is fine. The charger is completely useless.

It charges fast and works great

This power bank works great, it has a green light flashing while the battery is charging and a solid green when it is completely charged.

Returned! Not compatible with 40V Lithium Max (model 29662) battery I bought it for. Rufus (Amazon's AI) told me it was, but it doesn't even accept the battery connexion completely and the green light doesn't turn on. The correct charger for the 29662 battery is the charger with model number 29692, which is all black and smaller. Lesson learned, don't trust Rufus's responses and check on the manufacturer's site next time and hopefully i didn't leave it connected more than a few seconds or it may have smoked, could have been dangerous!

Beware this does not come with a UK 3 prong plug but a US plug!

Delivered today 17/4/25. Dedicated greenworks battery charger exploded and gave out acrid smoke. Now I don’t know if my greenworks battery may now be damaged as well!

Our last charger has "died" after much use. So I bought this but I didn't realise when buying it that it is made for USA voltage & doesn't have a 3 pin plug. I assumed that buying it from Amazon UK it would've been suitable. I am sure it is a good item otherwise.
