I purchased this leash at the end of August, 2017 for my 3 year old, 40 pound Boxer/Jack Russell Terrier mix. She is a puller (only when she sees other dogs or animals)... but she is not breaking any strength records for her weight class. I think I am a fairly decent judge on that after having previously volunteered at an animal shelter for over a year - walking dogs of all sizes and strength levels...On to the leash - It was amazing while it lasted. It was used from the end of August, 2017 until the end of May, 2018 on a daily basis for approximately 3-4 walks per day. It was never used as a tie out or tether, etc - just for walks. The spring helped deter excess pulling when my dog saw other dogs, squirrels, deer, etc. The spring also saved my wife and I’s shoulders from being jolted out of socket. The traffic handle was also very useful when keeping my dog close when needed.On to the FAILURE: The last weekend of May, 2018, my wife noticed the leash was tearing away at both the handle and traffic handle on the rubber portion. I’m glad she noticed it as a torn leash on a busy street while walking the dog could spell disaster...Being as the leash lasted less than the company’s 1 year warranty, coupled with the fact that it was not a cheap purchase, I can only give this leash a 1-Star rating. I have contacted Rok Straps and am waiting to hear their reply before changing this review.

This is the third leash I've bought for my terrier puppy, he chewed through two standard nylon leashes and this one, after 6 weeks, has withstood his best efforts. The comfort rating relates to the handgrip which is a little stiff but otherwise works well. I don't expect to need another leash with this dog but, if I do, I'll get one of these.It worked really well for 5 months then I noticed that the attachment was fraying at the handle end. Fuzzy is an active dog but has grown out of chewing and the leash was only used for walks; not tie out or anything else. He got past chewing after a couple of months and hadn't really damaged this leash. Hoping for a positive response from the vendor and will update when I hear one way or the other.Had a great response from RokDog after only one email and a description; they sent me a new leash and there have been some improvements made. There is a reinforcement at the point where my leash broke and the harness clip is larger and has a slide lock to avoid accidental opening. Very satisfied, the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it would have been nice if there were no issues at all.

This is my 2nd Rok strap. The first strap lasted 2 years. So it is durable especially when you have a high energy dog like mine. He drags me & it through everything.The strap is very strong & a large handle so you can loop it more than once around you hand if you like. The handle is comfortable. It's like a bungie cord for a leash. So your dog can't get too far away, before he snaps back. It's 52" long so if be some chance the dog gets away from you you can always step on that handle before he / she gets too far.I doubt I'll ever buy another brand. Comes in many colors. My wish is that they'd make a slightly bigger clip for the small leash. The medium leash's clip is perfect.

Purchased this leash less than a year ago, loved it and it was great for leash training with a dog that pulls.About a week ago the leash elastic detached at the handle randomly just like other reviews have noted.I emailed ROK Strap directly and heard back from them same day, they asked for my mailing address, color of leash, and weight of my dog. I recieved my brand new leash yesterday and its their newer more durable model. LOVE it even more than the one before and I was so impressed with how quickly they got back to me! Would repurchase again and again.

I have bought 3 of these leashes. They have all broken in the elastic part. My dog is only 45 pounds, but the leash is insufficiently strong to contain her. I have used far cheaper leashes with no problem. My main regret is to expect the next ROK leash will be different. I have learned now.

works greaty I got it for my 16lb 1.5yr old Jack Russell Terrier and the medium is just right for him! the small he stretches out fully with no problems at all but the medium requires him to actually struggle a bit to stretch it. the handle is REALLY comfortable and the product overall just feels really well made, the clip is really hefty which I enjoy and the material is so strong that it actually has some weight to it

This is the second time I’ve bought these and they are great!! The only thing I wish they hadn’t changed was the length. I used to have 2 3 foot leashes with a golden ring connection and a gold clip that attaches to the collar but now they are all black. 10/10 would recommend still. Great for German shepherds and Pits

Shipping was fast, product was well packaged. I would buy this item again and highly recommend it. I've tried a number of bungee type leashes and this is the best one so far. I bought it for my 7-8 pound Chihuahua and use it with a harness. For his size, he is a surprisingly hard puller on leash. This leash has enough give to not cause an abrupt jerk to him when walking, but not so much that he wants to continue pulling against it. Other bungees I've tried would stretch so much that he was rewarded for harder pulling, not so with this one. Just walking naturally, with only the leash doing the correcting, he is pulling much less than before.The leash is made of high quality materials. The handle is comfortable to hold. The built in traffic handle is also very comfortable and works well in the car putting the seatbelt through it to secure him while travelling. We hike a good bit and this leash dries quickly when wet by streams or at the beach, and cleans up very well.I also bought the larger size for our 40 pound hound that loves to scent track and pulls a good bit on leash, it works fantastic for her size as well.
