I have small hands (women's xs or girls xl) - would this be too big for me? I can't tell

My wife has very small hands as well, but she has found that she can adjust the velcro to keep the brace on comfortably tight, and get relief.

Is it possible to grip a tennis racquet or pickleball paddle when wearing this?

I'm going to say no to this. The brace keeps your thumb extended straight. You CAN bend the thumb a little, and grip a little, but I don't know if you can bend it enough to grip a racquet. They do have a good return policy, if you wanted to give it a try.

I bought this for use during water sports. The directions say not to get it wet. Does this mean I need to return and get a different product?

This brace was used for support, not to be used as a sports glove. Since it clearly states not to get wet, I would not used it and return it immediately.
