Zodiac R0448800 Locking Ring Lid Seal Replacement for Select Zodiac Jandy Pool and Spa Pumps

When I ordered this I thought it was a knock off replacement part. However to my surprise, when I opened the box I realized this is the original OEM Jandy part! The installation was super simple….simply replace your old lid with this one. No assembly required. However, make sure you turn off your pool pump before replacing the lid. This part is an exact fit and seals well onto my pump. I noticed my pump primes quicker now. Highly recommended!

With so many after market products on Amazon I'm very happy to receive this authentic replacement part for a reasonable price. This lid immediately restored pressure to my filter system after trying a new lid seal with no improvement.

Had an issue where my Jandy pool pump stopped self-priming. I came home one day and found it super hot and running dry (d'oh!). I saw it was entraining air and couldn't make an internal vacuum. I figured it was the lid so tried getting a new o-ring (which I got $3 cheaper here on Amazon and delivered the next day.... take that pool store who said it would take a week... but I digress.) The lid seal became tighter but still was having the priming issue. I said before I splurge for a whole new pump let me try a new lid. It was magic as soon as I put it on. The kit comes with a new o-ring, I put some magic lube on the ring and put on the lid. Perfect fit! Immediately noticed that the lid was on much tighter and it self-primed in seconds. Perfect fix! Perfect seal!

It would’ve been fine if I had known that it was the wrong size, but there was no size listed in the description
