These are high quality, sturdy stainless steel, dentist type tools. They certainly seem to work well for me. The set comes with 2 VERY, very sharp, double ended dental pick and scraper type tools, and a long handled mirror within a thin, black canvas case that has a flap with a snap to keep them contained. It is my opinion that this case is too thin and flimsy to house such sharp dental tools. Case in point: I was trying to withdraw one of the picks, but it had pierced the canvas holder, and stabbed me in the thumb, drawing blood. That should not have happened, and I’m pretty certain this wasn’t from an error on my part. I should be able to gently try to withdraw a tool from this case without the tool piercing both the case and me. To make this even more irksome, one or two of the tips are curved in all sorts of right angles, even partial squares. So once it pierces the case, you will be wrestling with it a bit to set it free. However, these things do work great on getting rid of plaque, if for some reason you can’t make it to your 6 month dental appointment on time.

The bag is 7 1/2" tall, 3 1/4" wide, 3/4" at the thickness point, and weighs 2.5 oz. The tools themselves are about 6 3/4" long.This dental kit (professional) contains all the items stated in the description: one Dental anti-fog mouth inspection mirror, one Dental Tartar Scraper, and one Dental Probe.I don't know if I will ever attempt to use this on myself or anyone else. It seems easy but it probably takes a lot of practice. Learning to use the mirror and reversing your movements would not be trivial for me. I can see it would be very easy to hook or cut your gums or interior mouth parts. The mirror however will be used here and there. And it does resist fog fairly well.I think for the hard to fog mirror alone, the price point is worth it.I believe all the statements in the description are correct and accurate (other than what I noted above).

One of the double ended picks is too thin and way too pointy on the tips, it needs to be dulled so that one does not puncture their gums or damage the enamel on the tooth. I needed that one to be thicker so I could form it with my dremel tool to be more effective. The good part is that it is hardened unlike those you will find at the drug store that just flex when pressure is applied.

This set is exactly what I was looking for! It comes with all the scraping tools you'd expect at a dentist's office and each one is durable, sharp, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. This set has really helped me to take my dental health into my own hands. My teeth have never been cleaner! There's a sharp hook tool, an inverted hook on the other side to get small spaces, and a thicker scraping tool that allows you to clean larger spaces. I love this item!

These have a good weight and can get into crevices. They are sharp so you have to be careful with them. I like these tools very much. Great product!

I like these. They seem like the quality that my dentist uses. One of them was really sharp so I did have to be careful not to cut myself and ultimately decided just not to use that one for right now. I don't have a steady enough hand for that. lol

Bottom-Line-Up-Front: Nice set of tools that feel good in the hand. I might be weird, but I like to scrape my teeth once in a while in between dentist visits. My dentist always says how good I'm doing keeping my teeth clean. I know, it makes me feel like I'm back in elementary school. I fear going to the dentist without --doing my homework--. This set of three tools works well on teeth or any other job that requires scraping and hooking in tight areas. I also use dental tools for restoration work. Think typewriters and such. Each tool has a nice heft to it with a large knurled grip built into the handle on either end of each tool which makes them comfortable to hold, even for guys with large hands like me. The carry pouch is a bit shabbily constructed. The mirror handle is already poking out the bottom. (See images) Well, I won't keep the pouch for long, but I will be using the tools.
