Overall product is as expected but the backboard was very scratched up. Appears it was either damaged or used and not new.

The pump was missing the needle and since it is not standard size needle we could not pump the ball that came with the hoop.

This over-the-door basketball hoop was quick and easy to set up, and my teenagers absolutely love it. It’s sturdy, has held up well, and gets used almost every day. The only minor downside is that it does bang against the door during play, so it can be a little noisy. Still, that’s a small tradeoff for how much fun they’ve had with it. Overall, it’s been a great purchase and I’d definitely recommend it.

You don’t often think about packaging when ordering a product, but it’s worth mentioning here—especially if you’re purchasing this as a gift. The packaging looks geared toward much younger children than the age range suggested by the product itself. Our son purchased this for a friend turning 13, and the packaging made it feel more like a toddler toy than something intended for a teenager’s bedroom. He did not want to gift it. Additionally, the box arrived crushed and appeared to have been previously opened, which was disappointing since it was meant to be given as a gift. I can’t comment on the quality of the product itself, as we did not open or assemble it before gifting. However, buyers planning to give this as a present may want to be aware of these things.
