The ports are mini display ports and it comes mini display port to display port adapters.

Does this card require external power connectors?

That's what makes it awesome, it doesn't need external power. I dropped into an older HP 840 G4 SFF box and it works great.

Yes. I have it running here just fine. Just remember to put it in the PCIx16, the black slot in the middle.

Does the GPU fit inside a Dell Optiplex 5000 SFF?

5000 what? It would fit inside a 5010SFF or 5020SFF, but wouldn't fit inside a 5060SFF or later. It will probably fit in models with same numbers with an MT case. It won't fit in any of those models with the same model numbers in a micro case. It needs a dual space slot and on the later 5000SFF and 7000SFF series, the power supply is in the way. I got it to work in my 5060SFF by physically removing the power supply but keeping it connected electronically.
