It does not come with enough cards for each skein.

Can I use a regular needle? Or do I need a special one for this product?

While I don’t think it’s impossible to use a regular needle, I wouldn’t recommend it. The floss is a little to thick for that, I would get an embroidery floss needle with a bigger eye.
