For those preferring a smoother coffee taste, the XIHAO moka pot combines beauty and elegance in a tastefully designed stovetop espresso maker. XIHAO's legacy of quality and reliability lives on in this coffee maker crafted in high-quality 18/10 stainless steel (including the inner parts such as funnel & filter plate) with ergonomic, heat-resistant handle and lid. Produces 4/6/10 cups of rich, authentic Italian espresso in just 4-5 minutes. Note that max boiler capacity is slightly greater than the final output. Some water will be left in the boiler after brewing. It is compatible with all stovetops, including induction cooktops. Stainless steel espresso pots are dishwasher safe, but hand wash better for preserve quality. Never use other contents besides coffee like teas, cacao powder, instant coffee or fine ground coffee as it will clog the filter plate. To use; fill the lower chamber with cold water just below the valve. Insert the funnel and fill it with ground espresso (do not tamp). Remove any coffee grounds on the edge of the funnel. Tightly screw the upper part of the pot on the base. Avoid using the handle for leverage. Select burner size to fit the bottom of pot. For gas stovetop, make sure the flame is not larger than bottom of pot. The flame should not come around the sides of the pot. Place pot on the stovetop until the water boils and coffee begins to come out of the center post. There will be a gurgling sound during this process. When the top of the pot is full of coffee, remove from stove. Hazel brown foam appears just seconds before the coffee is completely done. Before pouring coffee, stir it in the upper chamber with a small spoon to equalize all the different coffee layers for optimum flavor. XIHAO's passion remains in making superb coffee simple.

So far we are quite pleased with this stainless steel coffee pot
So far we are quite pleased with this stainless steel coffee pot. It makes a good cup of coffee and looks stylish while doing it. Its been in daily use for only two weeks but so far there are no major issues with it. Although the metal on the upper part feels too thin the metal on the bottom half is good and sturdy. The handle is held on with a screw so it cannot be used to tighten the two halves together even though it is tempting to do so because the stainless is almost too smooth to get a good grip. There is a worrisome filter plate which goes on top of the coffee grinds in the coffee basket. I hope they have a replacement available as this part can be easily lost. We bought it to replace our aluminum espresso pot because the aluminum while still making good coffee looked terribly corroded after long use and consequentially made it unappetizing to us. We will review it again if things change.

We love this espresso maker as it makes for us
We love this espresso maker as it makes for us, two cups of espresso and looks good doing it. It functions quickly and perfectly on our induction cooktop. I would give it 5 stars except that the small filter that sits on top of the coffee has a tiny knob that with the second use it came out. We fiddled with it and thought about sending it back for a different one, but never did since this complaint is made by not just ourselves. We have pinched the pieces together and make them function that way. A welded in place or different design knob would make this a 5 star espresso maker.

Don't count on description to be accurate DISAPPOINTED!
I specifically wanted a 20-oz. pot. I wanted to replace mine since it's wearing out. This one only makes 16 oz. I will now have to prepare more than one pot each morning and these things don't cool down quickly, you know. Also, it arrived with the filter in the basket askew and wedged so I couldn't put it in straight. That didn't seem to affect the coffee-making process. But that is a disappointment, as well, because it's so new. I've not had a cup of coffee from it yet. (You're supposed to make one pot and throw it out. I did as instructed.)I'm posting a screenshot in case the description is corrected and readers think I misread. I did not.So, if you want a large pot and you need a particular size avoid this one.

This item is truly a commercial grade Welbilt stovetop coffee ...
This item is truly a commercial grade Welbilt stovetop coffee / espresso maker. I had a Bialetti 6-Cup Stovetop before this ome and the bialetti just fell apart and was built cheaply.

Great purchase!
This was a gift for my mother and she loves it. I love the luster of the metal; the coffee tastes spectacular, and no coffee grains get into the liquid.
