13 inch LED Under Cabinet Lighting, 12V 5W Ultra Thin Plug in Counter Light, Dimmable Warm White, CRI90 Under Counter Lights for Kitchen, Shelf, Workbench, Cupboard

Installed these to supplement the existing lighting on my 3D printer. The lights came with all the wiring and controls needed so all I needed to do was print another bracket, so I did not use the adhesive pads that came with them, but certainly appreciate that they were sent as an option.

I am pretty pleased with this LED lighting strip. It is easy to install - frankly, nothing to it. The command strips allow you to position it wherever you please. The strip is so light it won't come down. I needed a plug-in light since I didn't want to have an electrician in to hard wire lights under the cabinet. So that does require having a socket close by. The cord is long so if the socket is very close there is a lot of unneeded cord. I solved this by using duct tape on the underside of the cabinet. Since the cabinet has a lip that hangs down, the tape and the extra cord are not visible. LEDs are the most energy efficient lighting option available and do not produce heat. I've only had this a few weeks but I expect it to last a good number of years. I previously tried a battery operated option - but the batteries really don't last long at all and I did not like the quality of the light the particular unit gave. The quality of light is very important to me. This sheds a bright enough light to work on the counter top without shadows. Despite it's brightness, it points down and acts as fill-in lighting in the overall room. In the evening when you want some light in the kitchen, it creates a pleasant atmosphere than having the overhead light glaring. The cording comes in 3 parts: a shorter part that plugs into the LED strip, another shorter section that has the switch and dimmer on it, and a third rather long cord with an adapter on it. This allows you to remove the switch/dimmer section if you have a socket that is already controlled by a wall switch and don't care about dimming it. Drawbacks - The cord is really long. As I mentioned, I duct taped it up under the cabinet - but it would have been much better to have a shorter cord for my needs. I don't really understand why the light needs an adapter and does not just plug into the wall, but I suppose that it is necessary. Unfortunately that does leave you with a large unsightly boxy thing if the wall socket is visible (which it likely is if you're putting this under the cabinet!) At some point, I will be able to renovate the kitchen and hard wire the under cabinet lighting - but these are excellent for now.

There is a lot to like about these lights. They are bright, the colour is pleasant, the switch is very smooth and comfortable to use. I actually used these to light up an unlighted hutch on a dresser. They do this well. What would be even better: 1. A better mounting system. I don't consider mounting tape to be a long-term solution. There are grooves along the edges which would make it easy to attach a mounting bracket. Why not include a little super cheap hardware and let the customer decide how to mount It? 2. There are micro USB ports in both ends. I got a male-male wire, but the second light would not illuminate. I had to order a micro USB splitter to run two. It would be nice if they could be daisy chained together. 3. The light is highly directional. You don't need 360° light, but I estimate that the light spreads about 30° from the source. Mine is mounted pretty high, and it still barely illuminates the entire counter. I bought a second one and mounted it on an angle so my wife can see her beautiful face in the mirror when she turns it on. I do not regret buying this. It is super thin and lightweight, but be aware of it's limitations.

This unit has the thinnest LED strip I have ever seen, and produces rich, warm light that's as good or better than much more expensive units. It worked flawlessly the first time. Pluses: full spectrum warm tungsten-like output, very bright. Easy to install (tape is more than adequate). Dimmer works smoothly and is very linear. Wires are thin and can be stapled with a wire stapler. Great value for a low price. Minuses: Like any transformer-powered system, the bulky transformer takes up an outlet. Fortunately, it is not polarized so it can be used in either position and not impede the other outlet. There is no way to direct-wire the system. The on-off/dimmer unit is clunky and not very attractive. It's small enough to be hidden under the recess of most cabinets, bit I had to mount it on the edge of the shelf next to the light bar. Not very "finished" looking. In spite of these minuses, I still give it a 5-star rating for doing what it is designed to do extremely well. If you know the limitations going in (as I did) you will be very pleased with the value.

This LED Strip is the Perfect Solution to internally lighting my Grandfather Clock Cases. My previous GF Clock Lighting searches yielded only over-priced Curio Cabinet bulb sockets that use heat-generating incandescent bulbs, and because my 6 GF Clock's Lights will be on 24/7, I want low energy LED Lighting. This strip casts a warm gold/pink hue that enhances the natural wood colors - not the harsh blue/white office color lighting. And best of all, the integral Dimmer Control allows me to set the light level to just the right amount; not so bright so as to become harsh, and not so dim that It is barely noticeable because they serve as night-lights as I walk through the house at night. I'm now ordering 3 more to illuminate my 3 "dark" clocks...

Works great, nice and bright, very thin and not bulky. As described and so far so good.

I was impressed with the quality of everything and how it all functions perfectly. *** The body of the LED light bars is aluminum giving a feeling that plastic doesn't have. *** Good quality two sided tape included and decent length connecting wiring for each light. *** Includes brightness controller, AC adapter, associated wiring. Connecting everything and installing was a snap with generous amounts of 2 sided tape. The knob to dial up the brightness was very stiff but I only needed one setting so that was okay and I think the knob would loosen with time. Full bright was very bright and the dimmest setting was perfect but control was shaky just a bit. As mentioned, the light bar quality was good being metal, what a nice change from plastic, plastic, plastic. This was used on each upper facing shelf of my stereo stand giving it a professional look. Recommended
