I own two of these smart fountains, and while they are indeed easy to clean and use, I was particularly excited about the smart features. Here’s my experience after the past 3 months of use: Ease of Cleaning: Cleaning these fountains is a breeze compared to my previous stainless steel water fountain, which had like 17 parts and took 45 minutes to clean thoroughly. Now, with two of these smart fountains, it takes me less than 20 minutes to clean both thoroughly—a significant time saver, especially since I clean them weekly. Material Concerns: I initially believed that the base/tank of the product was stainless steel, similar to the tray from which the cats drink. However, the base is actually plastic, with only the tray being stainless steel. This was a bit disappointing and I am concerned about potential bacteria buildup, especially since the plastic base isn’t dishwasher safe. Despite this, after 2-3 months of frequent cleaning, we haven’t encountered any mold issues. Smart Features: The smart features were the main reason for my purchase, as I wanted to monitor when and how much my cats were drinking, the water level, and when the fountain needed cleaning. Unfortunately, the app has proven to be inaccurate even after calibration. With two cats and two fountains, the app incorrectly records that they drink less than 2 ounces a day and spend less than two minutes at the fountain daily. Observations prove this wrong, as I’ve seen my cats drink for over a minute without any notifications from the app. This inaccuracy caused unnecessary stress, as I worried my cats weren't drinking enough water. Portability, Weight, and Size: These fountains are very lightweight and compact, making them easy to move around if needed. The tank's good size holds more than enough water to last through two-week cleaning intervals. However, their need for a firm, flat surface limits where they can be placed. Since most of our apartment is carpeted, we had to find specific spots where the fountains could sit stably. Additional Pros and Cons: One feature I do appreciate is the reminder every two weeks to clean and change the filters. The fountain is also virtually silent if noise level is a concern. However, a notable downside is that the fountains need to be placed on a firm, flat surface, meaning they can't be used on carpeted areas. With 80% of our apartment carpeted, we had to place them in very specific spots and they are still not correctly recording their water intake. Aesthetics: The fountains are aesthetically pleasing and match our home decor nicely. However, considering the smart features don’t work accurately, I almost wish I had opted for the cheaper, lower-tech version of these fountains. Conclusion: While these fountains are easy to clean and look good, the smart features fall short of expectations. If the app were accurate, it would be a fantastic product. I’m sure that they do frequent software updates and bug fixes, and this issue might become nonexistent in the near future, but for now, if you are considering this for the smart features, you might want to reconsider.

The PETLIBRO fountain was one of the best investments we made for our cat. She's very picky about her water, and prefers clean running water over a bowl of stagnant water. She also likes her water to be cool, and to drink from actively flowing water. These filters are great! They fit perfectly in our water fountain, and catch a lot of gross grime that would otherwise be floating around in her water dish! I've found slime (likely from saliva), pet hair, you name it caught by these filters. These filters should be replaced regularly, at least every 2-3 weeks. This 2-month pack is affordable and a great value for the money. It only costs me around $8 a month to make sure my cat has clean drinking water.
