Fish Sauce

I love Squid brand for Thai dishes, I use Red Boat for other things, but it has a much stronger flavor, when using a Thai recipe I find Red Boat too strong whereas Squid is just right with it's lighter and sweeter flavor. Smash some garlic with coconut sugar in a mortar, add a Thai chili or how ever spicy you want it, make a paste and then add 1 Tbsp of Squid, 3 or 4 Tbsp fresh (!) lime juice, mix, adjust, perfect sauce for a vegetable salad, over meat, pasta, added to soup etc.

Good! We had been using the more expensive Red Boat 40N and found it way too strong for general use. Squid seems like an excellent substitute for general cooking.

Good deal. Downside: Not the best flavored fish sauce, but you don't always taste it anyway, as it's a background flavor of unami. Upside: You get lots of product for the price.

I've always used this brand in certain meals it is great. I love it. It smells horrible but once you start cooking the smell dies down by adding other things with it. It tastes great. I thought it was one bottle but it was too smaller bottles which was the great size.

I lived in Thailand for 2 years and this is the only fish sauce I use to make fried rice. I highly recommend it. It also states that it is gluten free which makes it good for my family.
