I haven't even had a year and not used very much. I should have sent back within return window. I thought I wasn't using it right. Do not think is was very accurate. But now it won't shut off for at least 5 mins. after closing probe. Can hear something rattling inside. I can assure you I have not been abusive with it. Find a different choice. And I paid $3. more than what is now. You can find better.

Until I got this meat reader I never checked for temps when cooking. Now I grab it out 3 or 4 times a week...especially since I do a lot of chicken dishes.

When inserted into the food and liquid, temperature reading comes up very quickly. Very handy, easy to use, on/off switch immediately activated when the probe is extended. I really like this and is very helpful for cooking that requires temperature monitoring.

Worked well for 5 months then stopped working. hanged battery and worked intermittently for a few weeks now it reads LLL 5 of 6 times after changing to a new battery again. Disappointed, I have two other units purchased before and after that are still working. Maybe from a different factory. can I return this?

it reads well but it broke after a couple of months - the swinging arm is hard to move and eventually the plastic broke.

Waterproof, bright light which works well for nighttime use, and quick (not instant) temperature readings. For this price, I'm not sure you can find a better thermometer for grilling.

Remarkable product that was perfect as a gift for thew holidays.
