Cenipar Dishwasher Rack Tine Prong Repair End Cover Caps White (100pcs) Anti Slip 1 inch Round Tips

I have an older Whirlpool dishwasher that either needed a new rack or these caps. The rack is around $150. I figured I have nothing to lose with these caps. They were a bit of pain to put them on so here is what worked for me: in a small dish, I placed a handful of caps and cover them with boiling water. After a few minutes, I would take them out with thongs. Most of them softened enough to be workable. For the few stragglers that wouldn't go past the top of the stick, I heated them with a hair dryer.

After accidentally scraping off some of the coating on the rack of our new dishwasher, this was an easy fix. It is very tight but eventually got it in place.

These dishwasher tine repair end cover caps are amazing! I almost spent more than $100 to replace just the bottom dishwasher rack and then saw these and thought I would give them a try. I know some reviewers said they had a terrible time getting them on. My husband put them on for me and although you had to be firm, they went on easier than we expected. They are on tight and feel like they are on for good. The color matches perfectly and I will no longer have rust marks on my dishes. I did get two bags and we wound up going into the second bag to cover some tines on the top rack. These are a great way to solve the rusted tines problem without breaking the bank.

Dishwasher is only a year old, but almost all the tines are showing rust on tips. Was shocked by price of new racks, so got these because they are made of rubber, not PVC. It took about 30 minutes to put them on. I used alcohol to clean the tines, then used olive oil to make installation much easier. I tried pulling one off after I put it on, and it didn't come off easily. This is good because the whole point is to get a water tight seal. I notice one tine was particular damaged on its post, so I simply cut the tips off four other caps, then basically covered the entire tine. These match really well and honestly look like OEM. Even if you have a brand new dishwasher, I would recommend getting these. Now time will tell how well they hold up, but I'm sure I've extended the life of the racks by doing this. These are so water tight, I see no need to apply any other chemicals to the tips. Oil olive is what we use for seasoning iron cookware, so I'm pretty sure that's the only additional thing you might want to do.

These would probably install fairly easily on a brand-new dishwasher rack. Unfortunately, my dishwasher rack is a couple years old, and the plastic on the tips of the rack are worn off and the metal underneath is rusting. New racks are ridiculously pricy. These were a cheap fix. It is a major pain to get these started and pushed down on the tines. It takes several sessions to install them all, because after 20 or so, my fingers start getting very sore. Also, when installed, there is an air bubble at the tip. Time will tell if that is going to be a weak spot. On the plus side, they do seem to seal tightly and fix the problem of exposed, rusty tines.

These are too stiff and do not cover the dishwasher prongs! See pictures of trying to put them on. I don’t know how people put them on. My dishwasher is less than 10 years old. They did not fit over the rusted or good condition prongs. Not flexible and useless. I wasted my money!

The pegs on my dishwasher racks were rusting & breaking off after lots of loads in hard water. These little caps saved the day. Had to use a metal rasp to file down some of the tines before they would fit, but ultimately every tine got a cap & they're just like new racks. Have had them in place now for several months & they've held up perfectly. I love it when a simple fix works so well. Great quality product!
