Paul Mitchell Straight Works Hair Gel, Smoothing Styler, Adds Shine for Frizzy Hair

Ive been looking for something that comes close to my holy grail styling product, Rene Furterer Straightening Gel, ever since they discontinued it. It's been years, and lot and lots of wasted tubes, bottles and tubs. And money, oof, and money! Well, this isn't AS magical as that was, but it's pretty, pretty good. Doesn't take much in my fine naturally curly/wavy hair. Feels and looks soft and natural, not crunchy or sticky. It just smooths things out nicely, and makes the curliness look more like it's... on purpose, rather than just a fuzzy mess. I can add a little more the following day or two to re-up, or if I'm lucky and it's not a humid day and the stars align, it works pretty ok jut re-wetting with water. Def can't re-up it 4 or 5 days like I could with the RF stuff, but I can't with anything else either, so! Nice light scent, and it seems like the tube is going to last a long time. Good stuff!

The hair smoother works very well. With very wavy hair, it works very well to help straighten. My hairdresser uses this product along with one other for shine.

Curly hair and humidity cannot compete with this hair gel. I have naturally curly hair and the humidity makes hair styling frustrating. Paul Mitchel is the only gel that smooths my hair and not leave it crunchy. It's lightweight and does not have a scent. I only use a little so the bottle lasts a long time.

Nice product but doesn't have a very strong hold. Smells nice and I believe it does help straighten my hair. It's a light non greasy gel.

Left my hair, which gets frizzy on humid days, so=moothk shiny manageable, and looking good. I was very happy with this product No greasy feel (I used the amount recommended, not too much) Will last a long time, no strong smell, and my hair felt soft too.

I haven't touched my hair for over 30 years and moused my curly hair, crunched and let it air dry. At 55, I finally started to color my hair as I tried to hold off as long as I could and didn't have a lot of gray. Then 6 years later I started to Keratin but only in summer. I found this product and started to use. I love it. Not really sticky, slightly. Not too drying although anything over a period of time will dry out your hair. After the keratin started to wear out, I continued to use and blow dry my hair straight. Has more body without keratin, but takes longer to dry and get straight. I never looked at this as something that "straightens" my hair. It is a tool to help you blow dry your hair straight. I use a lot less when my hair is keratin straight>. When its starts fading I have to add a little more. But over time, I learned a little less is better. You don't need a lot to help keep the frizz and straighten. I, however, have very fine, thin hair but very curly and a lot of it. If your hair is very thick and coarse, you may need a lot more. try it!

One of the best straightening products I have ever used but not much of a heavy fragrance so, no parfume clashing! I personally love the lack of fragrances but if you love a heavy perfume smell in your hair products this isn't for you. It's not greasy at all but not drying. My hair is very thick, confused wanna be curly and frizzy and this worked incredibly well and kept my hair smooth for 2 days. It worked better than I expected and my hair felt wonderfully soft and was incredibly straight. I did add the product, blow dryed it straight with my larger round brush, add a little more of the product evenly throught my hair a send time, then I straightened with my flat iron. That's how I chose to do it bec ause it's the only process I've has work on my Hermione Granger 1st year type of hair. Also a liitle of this cream and Paul Mitchell Round Trip and let it dry naturally, works to calm gross and curls if you're in a rush. I'll post and add pictures soon.

Product advertised to tame frizzy hair but it dried out hair and did not smooth it at all!

Buonissimo il profumo ma la tenuta non è molto forte per i miei capelli ricci. Il prezzo di 17€ lo trovo eccessivo, infatti dopo poco l ho visto a 10€ in meno!

Buen producto. Por bastante tiempo pensé que era el mejor producto hasta que encontré el “Súper Skinny Serum” igual de Paul Mitchell. Lo recomiendo en lugar de este, sí lo que necesitan es controlar el frizz y un cabello más sedoso. Solo que en los dos productos utilicen muy poco vayan calculando según su cabello para que no quede muy pesado.

Das ist wirklich ein großartiges Produkt. Ich habe sehr störrisches Haar und das Straight Works hilft mir meine Mähne zu bändigen und frisierbar zu machen.

Good product too expensive you used to get a 200ml for cheaper than they are now selling the 150ml Paul Mitchel discontinued the 200ml quoting that they were going to stop producing it, then it reappeared as 150ml but at dearer the price of the 200ml.
