Beautiful books!
Beautiful books we bought as a gift for our grandson. Since my husband is a jazz musician, they were perfect! I only wish that there had been some way to listen to the CDs before we gifted them....we were so curious to hear the quality of the music! But the CDs were well protected in a sealed plastic sleeve and there was no way to open it without being obvious. We do like how protected they were though. Nice set!

Matthew Gollub has done it again! Fun, latin jazz, bi-lingual, cross-curricular gem!
We've been awaiting the next "Jazz Fly", Matthew. Thank you for creating another great book! I teach K-3 music and my kids LOVE it!! Great way to introduce Latin Jazz and Spanish words. It provides great teaching material to expand upon. Even the wiggliest kids are captivated from beginning to end. Freddie loves introducing The Jazz Fly!Sharon BurchK-3 Music TeacherCreator of Freddie the Frog® Books Freddie the Frog and the Thump in the Night: 1st Adventure--Treble Clef Island (Freddie the Frog Books) Freddie the Frog and the Secret of Crater Island Freddie the Frog and the Bass Clef Monster: 2nd Adventure Bass Clef Monster Freddie the Frog and the Mysterious Wahooooo (Mystic Publishing/Freddie Frog)

Fun book and educational. Kids LOVE it
I have this one and the original Jazz Fly in my classroom. The kids like both, but usually vote for this one the second time around. I find the first one more educational musically, but this one has some nice Spanish phrases added in. Both are fun and perfect for combining language and music.USE THE CD. The narration "sings" to the music for the full effect. Put the C D on and just hold the book up for the pictures. They will love it!

Love it!
i am a children's librarian, and this book is a HIT in storytime! Great rhythm, a good story, there is nothing I would change about the Jungle Pachanga. The story is fairly complicated- it plays best with kids 4 and up. At that age, they are also able to use our instruments to (sort of) keep the rhythm, giving me a great opportunity to teach about music and patterns. This is my favorite kids book right now!

Jazz Fly 2
Gollub has hit the spot, at least in this teacher's special education classroom! My kids love these books! I project the book on the big screen while the CD plays. The kids are completely engaged. There are many opportunities for the kids to sing along with the CD as well as dance when appropriate. I have three of his books and they are an integral part of Circle Time in my classroom!

Education and fun
This is a marvelous book for kids (and adults) of all ages. My daughter teaches music and uses it in her classes. Got one for my nephew who teaches third grade and the kids love it. Even my two-year-old grandson loves to read it with the accompanying CD. Worth every penny.

The books are fabulous. I use them in my elementary music classroom. I would recommend this one more for the older grades (2+) becuase of the language and speed, but the little guys like it too.
