Although I didn't actually try dropping it on cement from a great height, or making calls in a torrential downpour, this is obviously an extremely sturdy case. Fits snugly and is quite heavy.The glass is clear and, although you need a firm touch (which, I've discovered, is preferable to a screen on which I can open apps and send garbled texts from my pocket), it works well for swiping and tapping.For me, however, the 3 star rating is due to the difficulty and inconvenience of removing the case and the fact that wireless charging speeds are significantly reduced due to the thick aluminum back.I'd ordered this by mistake by clicking "buy now" when I meant to click "add to cart" so that I could read more about it when I could better view my screen. The hazards of bright sunlight. By the time I'd noticed, it was too late to cancel the order. But, when it arrived I was willing to try it, just in case...no pun intended...It comes with 6 minuscule screws and a 2" long Allen wrench (hex key). I lost one screw while trying to open the case for the first time. Screw dropped on table and bounced off to disappear somewhere...possibly a crack in the floor. The package does include 2 spare screws, however I could easily see myself losing another the next time that I opened the case. Although the description says that you'll never need to remove it, I've found that all cases I've used have, on wet occasions, collected a bit of moisture between the face of the case and the phone screen, rendering swipe and tap contact impossible without removing the case and drying the screen. It's possible that this might never have that issue, although it does have openings where moisture can get through. Again, I don't know, but I'd like to be able to remove the case without the extra time, effort and the need to always carry the wrench and find a stable flat place that will minimize the chance of losing a screw.The second difficulty for me was the reduced rate for wireless charging. I need to charge my S7 frequently throughout the day. And, due to a worn microUSB port, I need to use a wireless charger. The port covers fit snugly and don't appear as if they'll accommodate the extra length of a magnetic port insert.I couldn't figure out at first why the phone was charging so slowly. I was running at 25% for most of the day and had to minimize use. So, this evening I tested it against an Otterbox Defender case. It took 2 hours for my phone to charge 20% using this case. Using the Otterbox case, it charged 20% in 1 hour. A little online searching led me to articles discussing the effect of aluminum on charging.I wish that I could return it, but having lost one of the screws I don't feel right about that. I don't see myself as able to use this for my normal purposes.However, for people who can use their microUSB port, or only need to charge overnight, and won't need to remove the case, I believe that it would be an effective case against drops.

I don't know why people were complaining about this case making the touch sensitivity less sensitive, but it doesn't. The only way I could see that being an issue is if there is a screen protector on your phone and then putting this cover on. It is heavier than a normal phone case, but I actually like it. I'm not sure how water resistant it is (I have not tested it yet), but there is a lot of rubber built in and the actual metal casing isn't a joke. If you are used to regular plastic/rubber shock proof cases, then this one will pleasantly surprise you. So far I give it a 5.

Case is heavy, but it definitely protects your phone.I dropped it off a 6 foot ladder onto the concrete floor with no damage to my phone.

I work in a tough industrial environment. And this is the only thing I've found to take the abuse

Says dust proof and after one week of working in a mill setting where dust flies constantly it has collected dust between the screen and protector

Good case. Glass does not last long.

I've had the case for 2 months. Glass broke 1st 2 weeks. It compromised the phone so I had to take out. Since then, all but2 screws have come out. I'm trying to contact seller to see if I can replace what I've lost.
