activation mechanism failed I put them in the metal recycling bin. Don’t waste your money.
Not well constructed, poor workmanship and inferior materials.

Very effective
These work quite well. One was bent from shipping but I got it straightened and functional. They are just right size for rats and mice and too small for larger animals( such as our chickens). The wire is small enough to prevent escapes for smaller animals. Inspect the welds when you receive them and reject weak ones. Not great in wet areas because rust quickly. I use peanut butter mixed with honey hung on a small pouch I made from mesh material. You could use a small gauze square. Be sure there is high enough clearance for the mechanism to spring up so the door fully locks.

Works well for mice.
For the price, they are great. The fact that they actually work, even better.

They are sending a different model than the one shown in the photos.
The horizontal bar that descends over the door makes it foolproof against escape attempts.- The model shown in the photo is a highly effective trap, as it ensures that once a mouse is caught, it cannot escape. The door locks from both sides, even if the mouse’s tail remains partially outside. Sadly, on one occasion, the sharp edge of a corner caused a mouse’s tail to lose some of its skin as the door closed; however, to prevent this from happening again, I attached a medium Cable Zip Tie to each side (1" from the corners), which keeps the door about 4 mm open when closed. I have easily caught a great many mice of various sizes—more than I ever managed with other types of traps. The key feature is the horizontal bar that descends onto the door as it closes. This design is superior to the central hook mechanism found in other traps, which can be obstructed by a mouse’s tail, preventing the door from latching properly and leaving it vulnerable to being pushed open. 5 Stars! UPDATE. I tried to purchase a new pair of traps, but unfortunately, the new ones I received no longer feature the horizontal bar mechanism; instead, they have a central pin and only one spring instead of two lateral. (See photos). I requested a replacement with the exact model shown in the advertised photo, but I received the wrong item AGAIN. My initial 5-star rating has dropped because of this. They shouldn't send a product that differs from what is shown in the photos. If they want to sell the new model, they should create a new product listing so that people can choose what they want to receive. If these issues are corrected, I will consider improving the rating.

Don't get if your not at least a little handy
Should have mentioned some assembly required or i missed it if they did. The cages come folded like a cardboard box and takes a little fiddling to get to open up and even then attaching the springs at a strong enough point can be a hassle and then the point i really didn't like because the walls are so flexible and not fixed in place sometimes the door will close past the stops actually going into the box I had to bend several edges so the door would catch as it should BUT I can say that if assembled correctly they do work well on small mice can't say for sure on larger pest yet.
