I need to replace or fix the cord coming out the back of speaker. Is this possible?

Not very clear of just what you mean? Question is missing what happened, is this coming off the cone of the speaker? Sure you can solder another wire if the cone is ok.sounds to me you should just buy another speaker!

It ruined my Harmon Kardon Onyx speaker

As soon as I plugged it in the adapter hole, it made my speaker short circuit, and it wouldn’t start up again… my speaker was working in mint condition before I used this replacement adapter.. BEWARE!
