Glass Pitcher, Glass Water Pitcher with Tight Stainless Steel Lid, 68 Ounces, Heat Resistant Borosilicate Glass Carafe, Long Handle Cleaning Brush and Mixing Spoon, Durable and Temperature Safe

I've owned several pitchers and milk bottles in the past, and one of the problems I've always had was cleaning the inside. The reason why I bought this was because you can see in one of the pictures that someone has their hands inside the pitcher, cleaning it out. I can just barely fit my hand in dry (easier when wet, which it will be when cleaning), which is perfect. Not only that, but it came with a two-piece, sturdy cleaning sponge brush, just in case you have larger hands. The opening IS wide enough for average hands or smaller. The price is just right for regular glass, but this is made of borosilicate glass, which is stronger and more shock-resistant than regular glass. Although the pitcher is thinner and lighter than your typical glass pitcher, it's paradoxically stronger. Also, because this type of glass has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, you can heat it and cool it like Pyrex, and it has a greater chance of surviving. Anyway, I love this pitcher, which is perfect for lemonade or whatever. I'm going to be using it for storing plant-based milk I make from powder. This is just the right size (68 oz) for a few days worth of plant milk for my family. Last but not least, the top is smart, stainless-steel, well-designed with a large opening for pouring on one side, and holes for air intake (while pouring) on the other, for smooth pouring. Overall, you will not be dissatisfied with the build quality of the pitcher and top, and the sponge brush is a nice addition. Being able to (just barely) fit my hand into the mouth of the pitcher is a huge win! To summarize: thinner, lighter, stronger, can fit the average sized hand in for cleaning, top is well-designed, sponge brush is an added bonus. At this price, you could buy two, and still be doing well! I only needed one, so that was $20 well spent.

With the lid off it pour perfectly, but with the lid on (even if the hole is perfectly aligned), it does not pour as well as I hoped. Also be very careful of putting it near a window that gets sunlight, as it seems to have the ability to converge sunlight rays to a single focal point which generates enough heat to reach ignition temperature - see video - lucky I spotted/smelt this in time

Revised review 4/26 after more use… The lid is a bad design, the gasket seals great but blocks part of the pour spout so makes for a messy pour as some others have said, may remove it and try a food grade o-ring instead. Half full of water takes forever to boil on a glass top electric range, so started boiling water in a metal kettle then pouring into the glass pitcher instead, then topping off with cold water. Fits perfectly on the shelf and is a little shorter than the plastic one that stays stained with tea leaf residue and imparted a flavor in tea. Still a good purchase. Note, this item no longer includes the brush and stirrer per Mfg. I contacted customer service and got a response in about a day on the question.

The best, We love it. use it all the time. Just awesome! seals tight so does not allow fridge odors interfere with flavor. Also has a strainer type pour incase you make tea with leaves or something. Also has a standard open for good flow if strainer is not needed. Fits on standard shelf and Feels good withe the glass handle.

I use this thing every single day and it's held up for years. I only ordered a new one recently because the lid seal was getting weak (though still very usable). It's gone through the dishwasher dozens and dozens of times. You can heat it directly on an electric or gas stove, so it's perfect for making tea.
