The Art of Overwatch Limited Edition Hardcover – October 24, 2017

When this came in the mail today I had not anticipated the sheer size and weight of the book - it is Very heavy for a book may I warn you. I couldn't help but fan over it's pristine cover - and this was just the magnetic shell - the book itself was just stunning. (the product picture depicts the orange slip-on tracer cover as a solid color but you can actually see through the material.)It's definitely a worthy buy for it's price, and even more if you love the game and the art. It contains a lot of concepts, sketches and descriptions of all aspects of the design that went behind this game including skins, maps, ability effects, weapons, and more. As an art student striving to go into the field of character/game design myself, I find the process of developing an idea from the initial sketch to the final confirmed design is really eye opening and interesting. It inspires me to get in more practice and up my skill level. c:I would give the product quality a 4.5 if I could. I half expected the prints to be bigger, but they've got the same dimensions as the book. Was a little more disappointed when they were photos you could find online, but it doesn't matter much.The back cover of the book had a few light scrapes, and the short ends of the magnetic cover box don't fit perfectly under the magnetic cover. (it's a bit Tilted and the magnetic cover-box feels a bit fragile.) The slightly angled box sides don't hinder any storing or placement anywhere, i'm just picky with quality. It's not too noticeable unless you stare at it. I'd recommend setting it down on it's flat side so the weight of the book and the prints inside don't misshape the box any further.All in all, this is probably one of my favorite things I own now.Can't wait to read it over a few dozen times when I get the chance!

IT ARRIVED!!It’s about an inch thick, weighing at around 8 pounds total. The acetate tracer slipcover looks great and the clamshell box is massive, simple, yet beautiful. The prints are thick with a nice gloss to them. They have been carefully placed in nice and sturdy portfolios with a fabric lining the portfolio to keep the print in mint condition. I half-expected them to come signed but I know better than that. Browsed through the book a little bit and there's tons of content, ranging from commentary, to earlier concept art, to skins—it's terrific.My camera does this no justice but it looks absolutely amazing and I love it! The team did a superb job putting this together. If you're a fan, the limited edition is definitely worth every penny. This art book is a must-have for Overwatch collectors!

Just received mine copy today totally worth it with the limited edition that come with some extra covers and wallpapers post card sizeDark House & Blizzard sure delivered topnotch qualities and contents so does Amazon Thanks.Lucky for me the condition of the book i received is to me well is 100%fine unlike some unfortunate buyers received some bad condition of the product especially the on hard cover some of them are broken/bended which happen to me as well i bought the Blizzard artbook..The only con i see now is that the hard cover steelbook which comes in white color only can be easily caught or noticed the dirt so required precautions in taking care of it as i notice mine at the back of it has caught some black spot/mark..Other than that is worth it with colorful artworks and some lore background for current Overwatch heroes

I ordered this book at the last minute, debating between this or the normal edition, finally biting the bullet on the LE on the train to work. So worth it, this is one of the best art books I've ever had, the number of pieces in this book is astounding, even about the SKINS, they explain the thought process that came with the skins! That was something I was not even expecting. The clamshell holds well and the prints are of great quality.If you love Overwatch or even love the amazing artwork of the game, this is a book worth purchasing. I also have to give Amazon credit as mine was shipped undamaged and well protected, I hope everyone else has the same experience ordering it too.

Few dents in the corners and a page had a slight crease but im not upset in the slightest since its probably from the cradboard protection it shipped in. I love how they organized the book and the sections they chose to incorporate in the chapters, but i wish there were more details on the pages that do provide explanations for certain things. It is an art book after all though so I shouldn't have expected much wording to begin with. I also love that new book smell and the prints were also packaged very formally so im very impressed! My ordered arrived in the span of a little over two days as well so i was so shocked and excited to be able to open it! All in all im very pleased and I think its a great price for what its worth as well.

I was hesitant to spend a bunch of money on an art book but it was well worth it. Blizzard doesn't skimp on their art. So its my favorite art book I own right now and I'm super excited to get it autographed by the OW people I plan on meeting this year. If you have the money buy the collectors edition and buy it from here. Its a lot more affordable from Amazon. Also the way they had is packaged was solid, you would have to go through a lot of trouble to damage the book in shipping; So I really appreciated that as I have received damaged art books before.

Oh My Gosh Overwatch is one of my favorite games so naturally when i saw this i just had to have it , i did not expect it to be this big! it came perfectly packaged in a box with in a box! as soon as i open the main white magnetic cover i saw the tracer silhouette and fell in love... but thats not all after taking out the big book with the tracer in the front I was greeted by 2 portfolios with AMAZING ART! I will most definitely get these signed and framed! well worth the money spent!!

I fell in love with Overwatch when they first announced the game and have been playing it since the beta. Blizzard has created something quite special with Overwatch from its characters, sounds, visuals, game play, etc. When this went on sale and was brought to my attention I had a look at the sample pages and had to purchase it right away before the sale ended.This is a premium art book! I have art books from Startcraft and Warcraft and this blows them out of the water! The clamshell box is nice and thick encasing the art book along with the two portfolios and a plastic tracer slipcover. Do not let the photos fool you, it is a thick and hefty package.Unlike some other art books, this includes descriptions of the design decisions made during development giving the reader a lot more perspective. A lot of the concept art included in the book has never been seen, for me at least, anywhere.100% recommended for any fan or collector! I can not wait for guest to come over so I can show them this wonderful art book.

La edición deluxe del libro de arte de Overwatch es posiblemente una de las ediciones más elegantes, mejor diseñadas y completas que haya visto. Viene con una caja magnética la cual contiene el libro de arte (en breve hablaré de el), el cual viene protegido por un slipcover con la silueta de Tracer, además de dos sobres que contienen 3 art prints montadas para su exhibición.Ahora el contenido: el libro es simplemente espectacular, quedé impresionado con el tamaño y el peso de este artículo de colección. Dentro viene todo lo que uno pueda pensar del universo de Overwatch, desde los primeros conceptos del juego, de los héroes con sketches, conceptos, etc, sus trajes, armas, etc. Muy completo en verdad. Además de los héroes vienen apartados para sus trajes, los escenarios y locaciones con el mismo tratamiento, es decir, conceptos, sketches, detalles , etc. También se incluyen secciones completas para los sprays, iconos de jugador, los eventos de temporada (juegos de verano, Halloween, Xmas, Year of the rooster, Uprising, etc.) con arte de los trajes de temporada. También tiene un apartado para los cortos animados, con explicaciones de lo que buscan transmitir y como son importantes para contar la historia de Overwatch.En verdad un artículo de excelente calidad en todos los sentidos, desde el diseño de la edición, pasando por el contenido y los extras. Un increíble artículo de colección.

Assolutamente da possedere per tutti i fans del gioco e particolarmente per chi è interessato ad approfondirne i concepts. Una buona parte del libro è dedicata completamente allo sviluppo dei personaggi, per poi trattare gli ambienti in cui si svolge il gioco, ma anche le skins, gli sprays, i corti animati ed un’ultima sezione con le origini delle storie alla base del gioco.La confezione è davvero accurata:copertina rigida riparata da una sovracopertina di plastica, il tutto contentuto in una scatola con chiusura magnetica al cui interno trovano spazio anche i due portfogli che contengono le 3 bellissime stampe con i vari personaggi. Davvero una splendida edizione deluxe!

Sehr schön!Die Infos im Buch sind soweit auch ganz interessant, beleuchten aber ehr die Design-Prozesse, als mögliche Hintergrundinformationen zu den Charakteren. Der Kaufgrund sollte also klar die Wertschätzung der Kunst sein. Wichtige neue "Infos" gibt es hier ehr nicht.(Anm.: Ich bin noch nicht komplett mit dem Buch durch. Sollte es noch die eine oder andere Überraschung geben, aktuallisiere ich meine Rezension)Auch extrem cool: Das Buch handelt nicht nur einfach jeden Charakter ab und dann ists gut. Nein, man geht sogar auf Elemente ein wie Spray-Logos, Spieler-Icons, Event-Skins (z.B. Winterfest) und auch auf die animierten Kurzfilme. Klasse!Insgesamt bin ich mehr als sehr zufrieden mit dem Artbook, als auch mit der Limited Edition. Man merkt das sich hier jemand sichtlich Mühe gegeben hat. Die wenigen "Mängel" (Cons) fallen da überhaupt nicht ins Gewicht. Für 56€ auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!
