Wow, a seasoning that packs a fantastic umami punch.
A chef friend recommended this product, and what can I say? I LOVE IT. Yondu helps round out any dish, and I mean ANY dish. Soups, stews, noodle dishes, bolognese—any dish at all is improved with Yondu; I have yet to find one that isn't. It is salty, as it has a soy sauce base, so I suggest any seasoning occurs after adding Yondu and tasting to avoid embarrassing over-salting incidents. Get a small bottle first to ensure you like it, but I recommend getting the big one if you do. It is cheaper ml for ml. I have also created a subscribe and save to reduce the price by another 10% as it is quite a pricey ingredient. It is well worth it, though; I used to just buy granulated MSG (which is way cheaper), but after blind tasting a dish both with Yondu and with MSG (I halved it and then added), the Yondu won out and by a massive margin (this was the case for my whole household). This is one of those times when going the expensive route is the right choice. That's the subjective opinion but what about the objective? Well, it's a quality product, organic, vegan, and best of all it's not horrendous for you. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Superb superb
A light liquid. Slightly brown. Tastes savoury,salty,meaty slightly like marmite however totally delicious. I have added to flavour pasta and ramen noodles,absolutely superb ,I cannot recommend enough. There are many excellent savoury liquids,knorr gel trays I find excellent but this unami liquid is quite staggeringly good.

Softer more nuanced umami taste.
Yondu Vegetable Umami Essence combines fermented soy and vegetable stock. it adds a softer more nuanced umami taste than for instance an aged soy-sauce. Hence, is a versatile condiment that is useful in a range of dishes. It isn't cheap but is economical in use. At 15% sodium, I would like to see a reduced sodium option. Hence four stars

This chef recommends Yondu Vegetable Umami
As a chef and food writer I get to hear about lots of food products and that how I first heard about Yondu. At the time I was about to start teaching a new online Vegetarian cookery course , so I bought the 150ml bottle on Amazon to give it a try and was really pleased. I use it first in a live demonstration to make a vegan stir fry and was very please with the flavour of the Yondu and how the Umami seasoning enhanced the flavours of the ingredients. I also used it to intensify the flavour of a wild mushroom ragout I served with creamy polenta mash. Of course it is a big plus that Yondu is organic, plant based ( made from fermented vegetables which is good for gut health). I'm also happy Yondu is totally free from Genetically Modified ingredients, which seems to be in too many products these days! Made in South Korea and vegan friendly, I would highly recommend Yondu-Vegetable Umami. It has become very popular in America and is beginning to get better known in the UK. Not always available... I'm guessing because the producers are finding hard to keep up with demand. I wish it were a little cheaper, but there again it lasts a long time since you don't need to add much to enhance your dishes. If you open my fridge you will find some in the door.

Yondu is a fantastic sauce.
I have to say this is a delicious and amazing sauce. It has a more distinguishable flavor than normal. I used this sauce on fried rice, salad and pasta by adding a couple of teaspoons. It tasted fantastic. My family loved them and it made our meal more enjoyable. The ingredients are especially reliable and healthy with organic soybean and vegetables. The bottle is easy to pour and prevents leaking. You can use it in any food. It’s appropriate for people with any level in cooking and makes you a professional cook even if you’re only a beginner. I’m so happy I can buy this on Amazon. I would highly recommend it if you are in any need of soy sauce that can boost your flavor in your cooking.

Buonissima provata finalmente ieri. Arriva confezionata benissimo in una scatolina di carta con all'interno il prodotto con attaccato un etichetta con scritto gli ingredienti in lingua italiana. La sua composizione è salutare senza zucchero o altri conservanti nocivi. È un prodotto che dà sapore ai piatti e allo stesso tempo fa bene alla flora batterica dell'intestino. Non è una salsa di soia classica ma di colore molto più chiaro e il sapore simile alla soia ma delicato. Aggiornamento Ricomprata agosto 2024 meravigliosa come sempre ho preso infatti la misura un po' più grande

This product really enhanced the taste of the food.

I don't know why this liquid does to food what it does, but it truly DOES something. It's an umami thing; you can't explain it but it gives everything you put it in something deep and rich. Maybe because it's soy-based, and so is white miso paste, which is also soy-based and which makes everything you put it into something better than without it. Okay, that's a convoluted way of saying that I don't know how, but it makes everything taste better. Even scrambled eggs. And it doesn't take much, just a half spoonful, depending on the size of the dish you're making. Or salad dressing, or stew, or soup, or salad dressing or baked fish. It also has a rich aroma to it, which is very pleasant.

Die Würzsoße auf Pflanzenbasis schmeckt sehr gut und dient als Zugabe bei allen möglichen Speisen, bei denen man sonst auch Maggi, Sojasauce o.Ä. nutzt.

Una maravilla de producto. Apto para veganos y sin gluten. Ingredientes: esencia de soja ecológica (soja, sal, agua), cebolla, rábano blanco, puerro, col, zanahoria, shiitake, jengibre, ajo y extracto de levadura. Otorga un toque umami a los platos. Parecido a una salsa de soja, pero menos salada y con más matices y apenas tiñe la comida. Llevo años empleando este producto y lo utilizo bastante a menudo. Cunde mucho porque no es necesario abusar de él. Casa con arroces, pastas, legumbres, caldos, cremas... Enamora fácilmente.
