Real pheasant reaction from seasoned dogs
I’ve trained retrievers for over 50 years and used many scent products. The BirdDown Pheasant stick works exceptionally well. I warmed eight Dokken dummies with a heat gun, rubbed the wax into the pores, and stored them in a scent-free plastic bag overnight. The next day, my three HRCH-level dogs—each with hundreds of real pheasant retrieves—found the scent cone of the completely hidden "birds". The scent was strong enough to give me time to sit them to whistle. They retrieved enthusiastically once released. They even reacted to the scent at the locations of previously retrieved birds. The wax holds and stays potent through multiple finds. When applied properly, this is the best pheasant scent I’ve used. Hint: Don't work the dogs downwind. Quarter into a crosswind and let them find the scent cone.

Great add to any dog program
I really like the progress of my dogs after adding this product to my bumpers and Dokken birds. It really helped my dogs lean in on using their noses faster and the results showed up in the field.

The product worked really well. I put some scent on a dog toy for training purposes and my dog went to work smelling it out. Highly recommend it!

I have used both the scent drops, and now with this purchase the scent stick. Both my pup have responded to very well, but the stick method has certainly been an easier/cleaner application.
