Bought these for a bridal Photoshoot and they work really well for me. Great price as well!

I had asked if they were able to be cut down to size but received no answer so I purchased them and tried it and with some wire cutters and needle nose pliers it is possible and worked well. The teeth are similar metal to that used in jewelry making or wire wrapping so its easier to cut and bend to the right shape. The flat bar that holds the teeth is much sturdier so it's a bit harder to cut. As they came they would be great for decorating or a veil. The only thing I noticed was the wire of the teeth would slide off one end or the other if you tried to squish the teeth together to much though it was a simple fix. I found sewing my material on to them was easier than with the plastic ones. They also did not hurt my scalp as some do. Great product!

These combs tend to slip out easily but if you crimp two prongs together they will stay good. They are very pretty and I am decorating them a little with the plan of making some quite elegant when I find all the right stuff. The one at the top is with a broken silver chain. A little super glue and a quick sprinkle of soda for a solid hold.

While metal combs are by nature more durable and sturdy than plastic ones, the teeth of these combs are just wire wrapped around a bar. They bend easily and are impossible to straighten. They arrived mangled due to poor storage and packaging, bent all out of shape, and they just look damaged. They are pretty good at holding the hair in place, however, and they won’t break, so despite the aesthetics, I’m keeping them around.

I have found that the combs tend to pull some of my hair out. Also, the construction of the combs is a wire that’s kind of looped and twist at the top. I have found it does not grip my hair properly or keep it in place. Also, it bends very easily.

Heavy metal but smooth combs. Perfect for the bohemian wedding veil I made.
