I've been looking for glasses like this for some time and couldn't find quite the right thing. These are really wonderful. First, the crystal itself has incredible clarity, almost like a pure ice or something. It seems very strong, yet is rather on the thin side, which makes them very elegant. They are impressively hefty in weight and quite oversized in the hand. The pictures and description on the website don't do these glasses justice. For the price, they are an excellent bargain and I'm going to see what else this manufacturer offers. One other point that may be important to some people: The sides are pefectly straight (perpendicular) and don't slope at all like some double old-fashioned glasses (or at least mine). When I first opened the box and realized this, I thought that I might not like them. But it actually makes them all the more modern and elegant.

Great hand feel. Nice and heavy. Perfect gift for a man or any whisky / bourbon drinker. They look very dainty and thin. Not the case at all. I thought I knew they were crystal but seemed a little plain. I was completely wrong. The clarity of the crystal and solidness if the glass is perfect. Not too fancy but can be. Purchased as a gift for a man with larger hands and he tossed all his other double d fashioned drink ware ( except the etched crystal ones I purchased him as well. Very well packed, not a single one arrived broken. Arrived in a box 3 times the size of the box they came in. The Schott Zweisel logo etched on bottom. Top rack dishwasher safe.

I have wine glasses, champagne glasses and tall glasses by them and love all of them. Went through several brands of wine glasses and all of them had some impurities or imperfections. But then after getting this brand I found perfection and beauty. So when I ordered these glasses I knew they would be perfect. Only downside is they don’t take to knocks well. since they are so thin they don’t really stand a chance if another glass or something runs into them. I don’t fear breaking them in hand or when giving cheers with other glasses but they aren’t as forgiving to accidents like other glasses are. Well worth the money. They look superb and classy.

These glasses are terrific. The perfect in between tall and small size. They are durable, restaurant quality that hold up well to daily use.

I will say the glasses are beautiful and feel high quality, but half of the glasses haven't even lasted 6 months. The rims get chipped very very easily in the dishwasher. I'm very careful with these since they feel very fragile, but I guess that isn't enough. I would recommend hand washing only if you get these.

We're very pleased with the quality of these glasses. They're a clean and classic design, they wash well, seem durable, and are versatile with different table settings. I'd give them a 5 star rating except for the fact that the name 'Schott Zwiesel' is etched into the bottom of each glass. The font is small, but I prefer not to wear or promote logos on items I purchase. I'd just prefer that I not see a name at the end of every drink.

Purchased a set of these after enjoying more than a few cocktails in the same glasses at Nopa in San Francisco. As far as I'm concerned, they're the perfect size for a bourbon & ginger, or a gin & tonic at the end of a long day. Nice heft and a good clean design. I've owned Schott Zwiesel glassware for roughly 10 years now, and all of it still looks new. I've thrown them in the dishwasher, and been rather rough with them, but still they look like they've just come from the factory every time I pour a drink. A true quality product.

I purchased these as a gift for friend. They are great glasses and good value for money. The top edge is finished nicely. I read multiple reviews about Schott prior to ordering. I did find some negative comments, but after using them, and seeing others use them at a party last night at the recipients home, I have to say I do not agree with any of the negative comments. How often do you see guests complimenting drinking glasses? This 13.5oz size is perfect for mixed drinks with lots of room for ice. The weight is perfect, a feel of quality without undue bulk. Is it possible to criticize these glasses, you can see some distortion in the base if you hold them up to the light. They are very clear, but not as clear as very high end crystal. Use some common sense here, these cost me $15 a piece, Baccarat will set you back $100 or more, so yes, better does exist if you are willing to pay a lot more. If you are looking for a classy dishwasher friendly glass these are perfect. We need daily use glasses in our home and have decided to buy a full set of Schott. We have had enough of the cheap warehouse store glasses that scratch and break easily and go cloudy in the dishwasher. Note if you watch "Mad Men" you will see glasses that look just like these in action. Update May 2015: Still like them, have since purchase a full set for daily use at home. So far zero losses, zero scratches, or any other issues.

The glasses actually look better than the picture, the size is perfect for any drink with a lot of ice and they are wonderful gift. I had similar glasses before but the walls were paper thin and all of them broke in no time. These glasses are very sturdy in comparison. I just love them

I was debating over this or the smaller 9oz glasses and am so thankful that I went with these. They're beautifully crafted and the ideal size for a multi-purpose glass. They have been used endlessly since being gifted as a Christmas present, mostly for eggnog and whiskey on the rocks.

Cups are great but one of the glasses was cut at a weird angle. Looks different from the rest. But great cups for sure.

Perfect size when using the large 2 inch cubes. Heavy at the bottom and light at the top. They feel quite delicate at the top so I always hand wash them just to be safe as I would hate for them to chip in the dishwasher.
