Great product, poor keys
Background:I use this computer for 2 weeks for graphic design, video editing, programming and 3D as a freelancer from home and visiting customers. So, I was looking for a laptop with good performance, portability, and screen.Pros:- The screen is gorgeous for multimedia and with the Color X-rite calibration makes it really good to work on graphic design, I have seen many details regarding colors in previous projects that I didn't see before.- Battery, I always keep the power plan in High performance and the battery lasts an incredible 2 and a half hour, during intense rendering, running servers, working with photo editing tools- Performance is stunning, I was worried about buying a GTX1050ti, but it can handle pretty well photo editing, vector, 3D tools easily and smooth.- Portability, the size is just right for I was looking for, not too big not too small, is enough to do on the go work. The weight is just a bit heavy but nothing to worry about compared to gaming laptops.Cons- Bloatware, I think the manufacturer should spend some a bit more in software development, after uninstalling some programs it runs smoothly, even so, I couldn't uninstall Smart Manager to not lose the X-rite calibration which is annoying to me. The Macro software is ok, but it just looks like Mortal Kombat for N64.- ELAN drivers. fixed by replacing with Window Precision Drivers.- Keyboard, there are keys that don't get attached right in some corners. It gives a sense of fragile. This is my main concern because as a programmer is an important feature. It happened with 4 keys, I fixed 1 of them. I'm located in Panama and bought the laptop through Amazon, so I don't have high hopes that Gigabyte helps me with this issue, as always happens with manufacturers and warranties in Latin American countries, so I rely on an external keyboard by now, but for almost 1.5k you better think twice before buying it if you use the keyboard a lot like me.

Poor Quality Control - Screen Backlight Failure
I've had this laptop for a little under a year and already the screen has broken. For a $1,500 laptop, I expected significantly better quality control.

Great laptop with a dim screen
The one and only bad thing I have to say about this laptop is that screen is definitely dimmer than would be nice. Otherwise, I love the form factor, the build quality, and the design are great. It runs games very well for a laptop of its size and weight as well, which was a big part of why I purchased it. However, plan to play games in the dark, as the screen really can't compete with room lighting, let alone sunlight. If this is being purchased as a general use laptop, the screen is likely sufficient, but it just simply isn't bright enough to be ideal for gaming.

Excellent quality cross between gaming laptop/ultrabook - perfect blend of function and minimalism
Excellent quality laptop with a great set of features and amazing battery life for a reasonable price.I was looking for a mid-spec gaming laptop suitable for carrying around to code and answer emails and it hasn't disappointed. Running Fallout 4 on Ultra at UHD with decent FPS, with headphones on the fan was only just noticeable. The keyboard is really nice to type on and the whole look and feel is a perfect blend of function and minimalism.I've not yet fitted a second stick of M.2 storage but it's super to have it there (when the price of solid state storage goes down a bit more!)The Thunderbolt port nominally has 4 lanes of PCI so I'm looking forward to being able to upgrade the graphics power with a external GPU in the future if I need to.
