I need to get a safety vest for my husband whose normal shirt size is a L/XL: do these vest run true to size?

No they run 1 size smaller if worn over a t-shirt. If you plan on having any type of heavywinter apparel on you need to order at least 2 sizes up, if not 3 sizes up to allow for fit and range of movement.

it says all sizes are 29 inches LONG. is that accurate? seems really long for someone my size, maybe a medium. im a woman, 5'1" tall

I got a medium and it fit pretty good, I'm 5'2 & 125. Hopefully this helps!

Are there inside pockets?
