TOURBON Hunting Shooting Grind-to- fit Recoil Pad

Haven't installed yet. Product is as advertised. Quality seem good. Looks easy to install. Would purchase again.

I have an ancient JC Higgins 12 gauge in dire need of a new recoil pad. Since it's primary function was to hang on the wall as a conversation piece, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a replacement. This Tourbon pad is slightly longer and a "grind to fit" pad as are many aftermarket replacements. I removed the old pad, screws,and metal backing plate, then I sanded the wood smooth before glueing the new pad to the end with some Shoe Goo. I used blue tape around the butt end of the stock and carefully sanded the excess pad overhang with a dremel tool with a sanding attachment. I finished the sanded area with 400 wet/dry sandpaper. I recommend this product for its value and adaptability.

I got this pad the price was right (9 bucks) it fit good on remington 20 ga . I made a template of the butt stock, located mounting screw hole, overlay on pad and drilled small hole( used the original screws) installed pad used my belt sander 10 min. later done, I did use 2 raps of painter tape to protect stock. Looks good, quality (time will tell).

Does not come with holes or screws

It's not installed yet on my Remington 700 BDL, but when compared to the original Recoil Pad, it's so close to fit that I may not have to trim it, and since it is not predrilled (preferred) I will have to drill new holes to install it.
