Re-Mov Silicone and Adhesive Remover 236ml (8 fl oz)

I purchased this product to remove globbed on silicone caulk off my aluminum sided camper. Silicone is horrible to remove. The first application allows for the cutting away of the bulk, then repeated applications will finally break the bond to get silicone completely off. This product did not damage the paint. The product does go along way. When I first received the 8 oz bottle, I thought I'd be ordering more. However I was able to do about 30 running feet of silicone removal and still had product left over. So you don't really need to use a lot for it to work.

Price was a little steep, But the product does work, given enough time. May require more than one application. Silicone adhesive can be difficult to remove and you will still have to use a plastic scraper. There is hardly any other product out there that can remove or dissolve silicone adhesive, once it has set up.

This product is amazing! It truly breaks the bonds of silicone or other types of caulking - which then allows me to scrape and peel it off with a plastic scraper. Does not remove paint. No strong smell. Best method I’ve found is to dribble or paint onto caulking and let it sit for about 8 min. And then scrape off the majority of caulking - then go back over with a lighter amount on a rag and rub the remainder off. Still takes a lot of “elbow grease” to remove RV caulking - but this product reduces the labor by 90 percent! Thank you whoever invented this stuff!

didn't work well for me

I had to redo the caulking around a sink that had hardened after 20 years to center the sink (the sink was placed too far to one side and there was a massive gap between the sink and the cut-out and they just globbed silicone in between). The contractor apparently thought it was appropriate to use an entire tube of caulk to secure the sink and I knew I'd just end up damaging the counter trying to pry the thing out of there. After using this a few times and letting it soak, I was able to pop the sink right out and then redo the caulking. Was very happy with the results! This is a very obscure product that most people don't know about and I was very happy to find it listed on Amazon.

Product did not work at all. Followed the instructions exactly. Did not want to give the product any stars but could not submit the review without choosing one.

Not cheap perhaps, but a massive time saver. I removed seven troublesome spots on our boat with old silicone sealant. This stuff does not “dissolve” but does un-bond the problem stuff. Not harsh chemical to rot lungs or burn fingers. A little oily like nail polish remover. But this evaporated easily -/ little VOC. Highly satisfied!!
