ARCCAPTAIN 130A MIG Welder, 110V Flux Core MIG Welder/Lift TIG/Stick 3 in 1 Welding Machine with Synergy, IGBT Inverter Portable Gasless Welder Equipment with Welding Gun and 2lb Welding Wire

This welder is great & built better than the Harbor Freight welder for $449. Comparable to my last Lincoln welder but smaller. Packaging looked like it was repackaged when delivered. No issues found. The Harbor Freight welder kept tripping the breaker. This welder does not! I think it may be because of the inverter inside. The harbor freight welder tripped the circuit every 10mins. Some reviews say you need to be on a separate circuit solely dedicated to the welder on a 20amp+ breaker. Logic says yes due to the amperage but has yet to trip a 15amp breaker (for the possible buyers that only have a 15amp breaker to use, this will work) Very sturdy with a durable case and has a tip protector around the wire feed tip that harbor freight does not. It also allows you to stick weld/TIG weld. The trigger is built really well, close to an expensive name brand welder. I recently used this welder to build a trellis with 2in square tubing 8x5 ft. So far it is working great! I have only been using it for a little over a week. Technology has come along way! This unit is also lightweight, small and comes with a carrying strap so you can walk around with it hands free. I will follow up on this review if I encounter any future issues. Otherwise, this is a great buy for any project especially for the price 10.7.23 still going strong after making a gabion wall, trellis, fence & gate. This welder is not only for beginners it is great for experienced welders that need the portable option functioning on a 110 20amp outlet with a regular extension cord hooked to a power strip. Some clients don't have the power needed for other welders and this does the job. It would be nice to be able to turn off the auto speed adjust on wire feed, but it helps with the beginner. Lots of welding options for a great price!

Let me start by disclosing that I am not a professional welder by any means. I needed a welder to fix my lawnmower deck and other random things around the house. I saw this on Amazon for a really cheap price so I researched Arccaptain on YouTube to see some reviews and it seemed to be a great device. I watched 2 hours of how to weld videos on YouTube and ordered this welder. Everything about this unit seemed well designed and me with no experience except videos was able to setup up and use in about 5 minutes after unpacking the box. It was easy to adjust wire tension and power settings after seeing how to on videos. It is a solid welder that after practicing laying beads on a few pieces of metal I fixed many things around my home and fixed a few things for friends. I've used it to weld as thin as door sheetmetal skin back onto door frame on friends van to 1/4" material on farm implements that are still holding tight and strong. The unit itself is light and highly portable and is handy that you can plug into 120v so it can be used anywhere without needing 220v plug. The mig torch and feed are smooth and easy for a beginner to use and the supplied wire is strong and doesn't put off alot of spatter. I've already sent links to a few of my friends who have bought units themselves because they liked mine so much. Great product buy it!

I've been welding professionally since 1992, mostly structural steel. I like to think that I know my way around a welder. This welder performs great for what it is. I'm building a homemade utility trailer, and used both the mig and stick functions on this welder. It will weld 1/4 in steel in a single pass and get decent penetration. I've also welded 3/8 in steel with 1/8 in 7018 rod, but for that, I beveled the joints and ran multipasses. It also welds thin sheet metal very well. The spatter you get off of it is very minimal, I don't even use spatter spray, there's barely anything to clean off. The "puddle" it creates is easy to control in any position, including vertical up and overhead. The slag comes off with very little effort (most times you don't have to chip it, just hit it with a wire brush). This welder is cheaper than the Titanium 125 Amp flux welder at Harbor Freight ($119 using Amazon $20 off coupon), and has stick and Tig capabilities as well (Titanium doesn't). To set your "heat" on this machine, you only set the Amperage, there is no wire speed setting on it. This makes it very simple for beginners. Seriously, no matter where you set it, it will weld smooth (within reason). With stick, you'll have to dial it in according to the rod you're using and the material you're welding, but even that isn't challenging. I don't have the Tig attachment so I can't rate how that works, but that's ok, I've only tig welded a handful of times and I'm not that good at it anyways. If you're like me and don't have 220v in your garage, you NEED this welder!

I have owned mine for a year now and liked it so much, I gave one to my brother for Christmas. He loves his as well. First off it is not a Miller. It does not use argon. It is not designed for heavy daily use. It is small, but looks are deceiving. It packs a punch. If you are a garage guy and need a 110 welder for your projects, this little guy performs. My garage does not have 220, so I was forced to use a 110 welder. I originally had a HF 110 mig. It was terrible compared to this one. This welder utilizes DC output and employs heavy capacitors to achieve extremely stable voltage/ current. Rock solid output. So no surprises to your welding puddle, while laying down a bead. It is well built and easy to carry. I take this welder with me when off road camping and use my generator to power it. I added a better grounding clamp and am using Lincoln .030 wire and tips now. Not sure what else to say. It is an extremely good little welder for the money. I would highly recommend. I will probably look into other Arccaptain products after owning this and witnessing its performance for myself. Hope this review helps someone.

I"m brand new to MIG welding and so far I really like this machine. It does everything a starter machine should do. It comes with two different grounds (not sure why the Harbor Freight models only have one ground). It comes with a 2lb spool of .30 wire which is good to like 16 gauge. Oh and if you like stickers your in for treat!! :) Seriously it's a good machine no issues so far. It has a metal case instead of plastic the ground are about 6' but the MIG torch is only about 4' but who cares if you can reach your work you should be okay. IF I take welding up to the next level I'll stick with ArcCaptain products.

This arccaptain 130 is so easy to use. I purchased it with the intention of teaching myself how to weld and complete some projects around my place. I ordered this welder and watched some you tube videos (weld.com) (favorite) to pick up does and don’ts. The welder arrived and I set it up in nothing flat and was melting steel. I can’t say enough good about this welder, seriously, it is that easy to use and get great results. The included wire for this welder is really smooth running and doesn’t have a an extreme amount of spatter. This welder does prefer you run the wire on the short side (stick out) but it lets you know if you listen to it. It sputters slightly when the stick out is to long so just push the tip closer and she purrs. I’ve run about 1/2 the roll of wire practicing different techniques learned from weld.com and am able to run a pretty darn good bead already. I also ran some 6013 and 7018 3/16 rod and this welder handles that with no issues. I ran the welder on a 20 amp breaker and have never had it trip off. I had planned to learn on this welder and then maybe purchase something bigger, but I have changed my mind about that. This welder will do everything I need it to do. I’m just so impressed. This is a powerhouse in a very small package. A truly go anywhere welder. Great product arccaptain! Thank you!

It’s Great machine for its price but my gun started over heating I am trying to replace my gun any ideas if they sale it separately for the ARCCAPTAIN 130A MIG Welder, 110V Flux Core MIG

I have had this welder for two years now and am really glad I have it. It is pretty intuitive and easy to use. The kit came with all the essentials for immediate use. All the materials and acutrimants are of good quality. The only additional equipment I had to purchase was a helmet and welding gloves. Having this welder made it possible for me to repair and save my old chipper/shredder, saving me more than $500.00. It has already paid for it's self five times over. This is a small unit so don't expect to do a lot of heavy welding. But for the homeowner mechanic it's convenience can't be beat.

Was skeptical, but the reviews convinced me... that and the price. Setup was easy, instructions were good for setting up the wire into the feed. Not the best, but good enough. Was expecting a lot of mess with spatter, but not too bad and what little spatter there was, came off with the wire wheel. Welds are strong. Easy to make decent 'dimes' even though I've only got about 6 weeks welding experience (maybe 3 weeks if you consider I was mostly a helper/shop cleaner). My only criticism would be the trigger on the gun: often it feels like I've got a good grip, but half the time I had to readjust and squeeze again. I'm sure I'll get used to it, so no reason to deduct a star for something so little. Thanks for making this gasless mig welder available at such a good price. The hook on the back of the gun is super useful and makes up for the trigger shortfall!

Surprisingly good flux core welder. For it's lunch box size this welder is amazing. I do find that after a weld while sitting idle for 5 minutes, the fan is blowing but it will not strike an arc unless you restart it. The power button is on the back side, very unconvenient. It welds really well and has a learning curve but it ios well worth the money. Thanks Amazon for the wonderfull product.

This little welder actually works really well. The wire size is a bit small but then again that just means you may have to do multiple passes if you want a bigger weld. The amperage nob does work well, display is clear and tracks nob well and it does change the feed speed like it should. The welding ends are pretty cheap. The ground clamp is pretty small but is securely attached to it's cable and professional made. The MIG gun is pretty cheap and short . There is a delay between pulling the trigger and it starting welding which you need to get use to. However considering the price, I very happy with it.
