HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Arm, Desk Mount White

I recently got the Ergotron HX Mounting Kit, and I absolutely love it. It holds my LG49WL95C perfectly, providing a stable and secure mount for my large monitor. I have the Samsung G9 and cheaped out on a monitor arm the first time around. It just couldn't hold the monitors weight and constantly tilted down and took forever to get back into the exact perfect spot to stay up again. This one however holds it up without an struggle. You can tell it's much higher quality and very robust. The springs in it are HUGE and well greased. The cable routing has reusable velcro style loops which I really like. It was also very easy to mount to monitor onto as a single person. You attach a backplate to the vesa mount on the monitor and then the backplate slides into the monitor arm. If you've ever tried to hold a 12kg monitor up to a hole and screw it in at the same time you know the pain lol. You don't have to do that with this one It is quite expensive. You can get a monitor arm for £50 but it wouldn't be anywhere near as good as this one

Bought for use with my Samsung CJ890 49" Ultra wide, which weighs 12KG. Full disclosure, I originally went for a cheaper arm (£85) which was rated to hold up to 15KG. It was fine, but the VESA mount and bracket were thin and weak, meaning the monitor sagged forward. I was concerned it was going to break, landing my expensive monitor on the table/floor so decided to return and get the Ergotron. I figured that, for me, it's worth the price for peace of mind. The VESA mount is super sturdy (see photo for comparison of cheap thin vs thick strong Ergotron alternative). The range of motion is superb, and so smooth - no issues with sagging forward. Cable management is good, as is the bottom clamp. The arm itself is super strong, and so well finished - you really see the quality control that goes into the manufacture which you don't get with cheaper alternatives from no-body companies in China. My advise to anyone looking at this and considering a cheaper alternative for a 49" Ultra wide, don't waste your time like I did. Spend the extra cash and get the monitor arm that's clearly designed to hold it! I'm very happy with my purchase.

Really very pleased with this dual mount arm. After reading the reviews and considering many other options decided to give it a go and glad I did. It's on the pricey side but you do get your moneys worth. It looks very smart and is very sturdy. I like that you adjust the tension on various movements so that whatever monitors you install you get a fluid movement and the position stays. No drooping over time. A little fiddly to get right initially but worth it. Cable routing is also pretty good. Not perfect but good enough in my humble opinion and I'm fairly fussy about cables. I have the back of the monitors facing the open room so it needs to look neat. Debated as to whether to give it 5 or 4 but concluded as it wasn't perfect I needed to make it 4. Close call.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I have heard about the ergotron brand before and always seen good reviews of it despite of its cost. Functionality: To my surprise this is loaded with all the features, move up and down, tilt sideways tild upwards and downwards, move forward and backwards, just all around pretty much a 360 movement, well 180 for the base and almost 360 for the monitor. Mobility: Takes a bit getting used to with the movement, if you make it more stiff to move, expect it to be hard to do small adjustments but it will stay in place and will not wobble, or you can loosen it and it might wobble a bit more but will be super easy to move about. Cable management: On the back there is 2 ties for cables that run along the arm and a plastic shroud that hides the cables going down behind the table. Easy to use and access. Desk space: I used to have my monitor up on a small elevated riser, and got tired of all the wobble from it, and while that took up a lot of space, this one saves quite a lot, to the point that I dont even know what to do with the empty space :D Totally loving it, it holds an LG C2 42" just fine, but it DID require a vesa mount adapter 300x200, as the included one only goes up to 200x200. so much cleaner on the desk and I can move the monitor closer any time I want to or further away if I dont want it to be up close. Assembly is also very simple, I did not drill a hole into my desk so I used the end clamp and it clamps on very strongly, the base is heavy but i have a table that is roughly 3cm in height and is made of solid wood so no issues with that. The first part slides into place easily and the second also, clipping on the monitor was a breeze even alone so you dont necessarily need 2 people to do it, clip attached, screw in from the bottom and it wont go anywhere! as stable as it can be.

I was looking for a monitor arm so I can suspend my very heavy 27” iMac. This Ergotron HX fits the bill perfectly! It’s rated at being able to carry 45 pounds and it sure is true! It has no trouble lifting my close to 22 pounds 27” iMac with very, very minimal wobble (which can be expected considering it’s cantilevered). The one I got was the white version and the product looks great in powder white. Installation was very easy; I had to use a VIVO VESA Mounting Adapter Kit for the iMac. The adapter attached to the stand. The first time I attached the iMac to the arm, it didn’t even drooped! There are points in the joints where you can adjust the tension and mine was already stiff right out of the box. A bit pricey, but worth it! I am not in any way worried that my iMac will fall down. Highly recommended!

Zeer blij mee. Als je hem uit de doos haal voel je gelijk dat het geen rommel is. Echt kwaliteit spul. Makkelijk te installeren maar neem er wel ff de tijd voor.

J’ai utilisé des produits hautes gamme Arctic et j’ai retourné tout. J’ai vu Ergotron et je me suis dit « ou la le prix. Je vais vous dire que des que j’ai ouvert la boîte j’ai jamais pensé au prix. Le produit est sublime et chaque pièce parfaite. Les mechanisms, les pieces et l’attention au détail. Je voudrais remercier Ergotron pour ce produit car je vois qu’ils ont laissé les ingénieurs faire leur boulot. J’ai mis deux écrans MSI et j’ai la possibilité de mettre un troisième si je change la planche qui garde les écrans. Je peux mettre une avec trois si je veux et ça c’est bien. Je voudrais souligner deux choses avec ce support. Si votre table de bureaux est IKEA comme la mienne et epas trop solide car on a deux pieds, vous allez avoir des choques transmis par cotre clavier dans la table et dans le support. Les écrans peuvent bouger si vous réglez pas la tension et vous donne pas du support au bras avec le mur. Par example le mien est installé comme ça :/| et pas comme dans le videos ou vous voyez le bras comme ça. Deuxième chose, si vous avez un petit table vous allez avoir les écrans trop proches et il faut mettre le support comme ça /| ou |\. Dans cette position vous pouvez pousser le support vers le mur et avoir stabilité extra pour prévenir les choques du clavier.

Very expensive, but worth every penny. Every piece is well made and feels very premium, and super sturdy after mounted to the table. I’m sure this thing will last for a very long tome so it’s a good investment if you need to spend a lot of time working in front of computers.
