Stunning
As a huge fan of the Harry potter books so much so that I have them all in first edition hard back, first edition paper back and kindle edition also have the Hogwarts collection in collectors edition, first edition hardback and illustrated ! So why buy this well ? in answer it had to be done lol :)I'm so pleased I bought this it is a beautiful book yes its large and heavy not a book to take on a train or bus however the illustrations are stunning and beautifully done , yes people may complain they don't match the film's but why should they ? the film's also missed out so much of the books that they leave people who haven't read the books confused lol so personally I don't think it actually matters that the characters don't look like they have been taken from the filmThis book has been well presented and makes a great addition to anyone's collection or even a gift to a child who hasn't read the books, this will make a great gift for any fan of the books or in my case a nice book to add to a collection . I'm looking forward to getting the rest of these illustrated books I just hope we don't have to wait ten years this time to own the full collection

Fantastic illustrations, great colours, high quality print, brilliant book!
From the moment you open the cover this book transports you to an exciting and vivid new world with the help of Jim Kay’s fantastic and vibrant illustrations. The print and paper is of high quality with vivid colours and a vibrant ribbon bookmark the same colour as the hardcover. There is not one page that does not have something on it, whether it be an illustration or a texture so you constantly feel engaged with the story.Throughout the book small illustrations appear which give you insight into locations or characters. You then come across illustrations that take up an entire page or two and the text sits around it. Some single and double pages have full page illustrations with no text. In addition to scenes from the story there are pages from books within the Hogwarts library which gives that extra bit of immersion.Pages without a full illustration might have a wallpaper texture, some watercolour brushstrokes, a coffee cup stain, or even some tiling to name a few. This is a book that will bring lots of enjoyment for Harry Potter fans and lovers of art.

A beautiful edition of a classic Potter tale
This is probably my favourite Harry Potter book and this version is stunning. These hardback books have amazing illustrations and are great for kids who are just getting onto more advanced books.I can't emphasise enough exactly how stunning these hardback versions are. The illustrations are unique, but familiar and really add to the reading experience. I will be collecting them all and they will take pride of place of my downstairs book shelf.
