This was a big let down
This didn't work at all, save your money. My Greyhound didn't even take any notice of this post, walked by it like it wasn't even there. One saving grace is that the pheromones on it seem to have stopped the local cats s***ting on my lawn!

Worked for my dog
I placed the post as advised and when my dog went into the garden I gave him a signal to use the patch and when he did I gave him a lot of praise and a reward, He does have the odd lapse but it's early days yet. For example he used the patch all day and then last night he run out and peed on the lawn. No problem at all. It will take training and time. Overall very pleased.

Doesn't work
Our dogs like to pee against garden furniture or plant pots so I bought this to get them to pee in one place, the first day I got it 2 dogs got aggressive with each other , probably from the pheromone smell. After than they haven't paid any attention to the post and defiantly haven't used it to pee on.

Pee post
My dog hasn’t used it once. Thought it would be taller to encourage cocking there leg. Nice quality but not very effective for my dog

Training
Worked well for my 12 month Border Collie, you need to Encourage with a little Treat, my Dog does Amazing.

A hi-viz stick would work as well.
Have to agree more with the negative than the positive reviews as this could easily be replaced with a stick in the ground and some training. Dog ignores this completely unless led to it by the owner when needing to be let out - they use the bell system so know when pee time is - and that seems to work with dog beginning to understand where to go. So I couldn't recommend it unless you want a hi-viz way to see if your dog is going in the right place.

Good Human Idea
The Simple Solution Pee Post is a good idea from a human perspective. I inserted the post in a part of the yard that I wanted to be used as 'the' area and they didn't even sniff it as something new, let alone as an attractant. The package lists about 'pee here' technology and descriptions list is a training device that "teaches your pet to urinate in a specific area of your yard". NOT TRUE. You can teach your dog to use it but you have to do just that...take the dog to the post until it goes, everytime you want it to go there, until it understands it is on the 'marking' route. My dogs have this as one of many places in the yard that they use. So it didn't work here and was a waste of my money.

It does not trigger my small male dog who loves to mark and dominate the world.
My 4 year old small male dog goes outside all the time as he is trained already. He loves marking every post when he goes on a walk to tell the world his small body owns the neighborhood. I needed him to pee in one spot in our yard and since I cant move fire hydrant into our yard, I decided to give this a try even though reviews were bad. The reviews were CORRECT. The stick was smelly to our human noses but I guess it does not get noticed by dogs or something which I thought was very odd. My dog totally ignores it and goes other places to pee. This is garbage and total waste of money. It destroyed my hope. I will have to pour water everywhere he pees from now. People please DO NOT GET TEMPTED TO TRY THIS. It just does NOT work.

Doesn’t work dog thought it was a toy
Got out of packet. Dog went crazy thinking it was a toy. Pulled it out of the ground. Started chewing on it. I put back in ground deeper and just ignores it now. Waste of money.
