Lovely pencils, a pleasure to draw with
I love these pencils! My experience is that they don't break at all that easy while sharpened, and I am not even using a fancy sharpener - just a tiny, ordinary Staedtler. The colours are lovely, the pencils are soft, easy to layer and combine, not so easy to blend (might be because of my paper choice). I still have a set of old Prismacolor pencils from about 20 years ago, which in Europe were called Karismacolor, produced by Berol - some of them in USA, some - in England. By comparing the old and the new ones I must say there is no difference in brightness or depth of the colours, the old ones feel slightly softer on the paper. But this can be noticed only if they are tested side by side. My verdict - really good pencils, a pleasure to work with, definitely worth trying. This set is a good way to do that without spending too much, so to be sure you will like it (or not) before you splurge on a big box.

Best Pencils I've ever used...
These pencils are worth the money. Bright, vibrant and very easy for blending colors. If you are going to purchase these pencils I would recomend buying the Official Prisma Sharpener as well. I've noticed in a few reviews - People have had issues with the lead breaking. I bought the sharpener along with the pencils and haven't had any problems what so ever. Today I ordered the 48 pack along with the Official Prisma Blender Pencils. I will post a review after trying them and you keep you guys updated. Its definitely worth the money. Even if you purchase the starter pack to give it a try.

Super cool!
My mum bought these for me, and they are really good, in my opinion. The textures and shades you can make with these really stand out as “quality” and they are really useful in my drawings, though I hope to utilize them better than currently. The only problem with it is that it breaks easily, so I keep having to use my sharpener and empty it. Other than that, its amazing and I understandhow it breaks easily. I would recommend this to most people really into art, as for school use people may not like how it breaks so much. These pencils are amazing! 😆

Been retired for 5 years now and have been in Australia for 3 month a year with family. Grandchildren love to draw so I have had to learn a bit myself. After watching Mark Crilley on Utube with the children we attempt to copy some of his animals, these coloured pencils are what he appears to use so the kids wanted the same. I have these at home in the UK and we compete to create the best drawings which we send back and forth via the web. Great contact with the children. They do not make you as great an artist as Mark but they are good pencils.

Fantabulous
These are beautiful pencils. I hesitated to buy them for a few weeks because of negative reviews but I got them anyway. I've never owned any before so I got this small Manga set to test them out before I purchase a larger set. They are really soft and take practically no effort to colour. I don't draw manga myself but these are a good range of colours to do anything with. Some people said the leads were off center, however only one of mine is, and such a minuscule amount I don't really care. I would imagine the people complaining about them being off center are proper artists with lots of pencil experience, but its not like it being off center effects the quality of the lead. So yeah, overall I'm very pleased.

A Good Investment
The pencils were delivered in a very quick fashion which I did not expect. They arrived well packaged and undamaged. All soft core pencils were sharpened, the five Verithin pencils are not sharpened (however a normal and cheap sharpener is fine with these pencils I have found). They have a vibrant pigment and easy to blend (either with the white pencil or blending pencil). Personally I found they work best on paper with more tooth such as a watercolour pad but this is personal preference. Lastly there is good variety of colours with differing shades, perfect for manga and flowers.

Love it!
I'm really impressed with the Prismacolours, I usual use Faber Castell but decided since I'd heard so much about them that I'd give them a try. I'm really glad that I did, they blend so easily it's like butter and the colour pigment is long lasting and bright. Definitely worth the money c

Shocking
Very disappointed with these prisms. I have loads of pencils and these by far are one of the worst quality. Prisma used to be very good but I noticed on the box that they are now made in mexico. Perhaps that is why the quality is poor. These pencils keep breaking when sharpened which is really annoying. You used to be able to put prismas in the microwave to fix the core if broken. I tried this and almost blew my microwave up so they must have lead in them now. Don't make this mistake. I would definitely not recommend these and it's a shame because prisma when made in the USA were good quality.

You really can't go wrong with these gems! :-)
This is a pretty set of colored pencils, generally offered at a great price compared to your local art store. While I love supporting the mom and pops, some of which will give regulars bargain prices, places like Michaels will charge you full price when you can often get these sets for 50% off from Amazon. And sometimes you just have to budget. I got this set for about $14 with prime. Great deal!! You can get a great deal too. Keep your eyes peeled especially at the holidays. About this set: This is typical Prismacolor Premier quality. The pencils lay vibrant color that can be layered, built up and blended. The colors are all very "pretty" in that aside from the browns, nothing is muddy. You will find no sharps or flats in this song! The colors are somewhat eraser friendly depending on color and paper type. The box isn't as lovely as the tin some sets come in but it's functional enough. I haven't had any issues with breakage. I use a Prismacolor sharpener and I've never had a problem over the past 20ish years with this brand. Though if I did I would definitely try the quick oven fix... Prismacolor pencils are pricey but worth it! Word to the wise-- these pencils lay down c color great because they are soft. With use they can be, well, used up somewhat quickly. Detail work may also require more sharpening keep the needed point, though turning the pencil while using can spare some waste. If you really need more detail and a long lasting pencil try the Verithin line from Prismacolor, a few of which are include in this set. Though I've yet to see an exact match in colors to this set in that line. All in all- enthusiastically recommended! I love them as a hobbyist, and know many pros who love them, too. After an art hiatus I got some sets (including this one) for myself and also my mother for Christmas. We both got into the adult coloring thing and I am so excited for her to try Prismacolor! Hope this helps! Enjoy your goodies or gift-giving!
